Another one bites the dust. I caught glimpses of the match, another dominant performance from Djokovic. He's got his sight set on YE#1, conditions are perfect for him. None of the next-gen guy can really do much damage and I think Nadal will be helpless if he plays Djokovic there. Indoor medium-fast low bouncing court is probably as worst as it can possibly get for Nadal and as good as it gets for Djokovic and also Federer. The only player that could spoil Djokovic's party if he's in-form is Federer.
We were at the match - didn't expect Berrettini to win, but hoped for a bit more fight! My son feel asleep at 2-2 and missed most of the match - which is to say he didn't miss much!
More seriously though, watching any of the big 3 live is always great, even in first gear and cruise control. Djokovic is still so fast, and live you can really tell how much spin he can put on his shots - quite a few that the crowd thought were going out, but just dipped in!
Hard to make anything of this match though, other than that Djokovic is not going to stop himself. Berrettini seemed simply overwhelmed once he got broken, and Nivak knew exactly how to use that to his advantage.
