Rafa has won FOUR US Opens.
Rafa has won 2 of the last 3 US Opens, so everybody knows he can win this.

You aren't supposed to see it, since you don't seem to understand tennis....
Here are all their hardcourt slam meetings-
2010 US Open = Nadal in 4
2011 US Open = Djokovic in 4
2013 US Open = Nadal in 4
2012 Australian Open = Djokovic in 5
2019 Australian Open = Djokovic in 3

Well, being favorite doesn't help Djokovic win the US Open, because he's won less US Opens than Rafa, despite the fact that Rafa didn't even play 2012 and 2014.
And if you watch the matches you'll see Djokovic has no answer for Rafa's forehand-down-the-line on the US Open surface.
The only win Djokovic ever had over Rafa at the US Open was 2011 when Rafa's confidence was so low that he was afraid to go for the forehand-down-the-line.
Djokovic has no problem playing against Rafa if Rafa is going crosscourt all the time, but as soon as Rafa goes down-the-line its all over for Djokovic.
Rafa has a habit of going down-the-line more at the US Open, because he knows the ball grips more on that surface and accentuates his top spin.
Whereas the AO surface doesn't help Rafa one bit, plus he couldn't even train properly before 2019ao......in fact even after that AO he hadn't found himself physically, because he lost in THREE claycourt semi-finals.

he can but I think if tough gets going in the 1st week or early 2nd week, he will just tank it. or if it looks like Djoko is in good form and he has to play him , he will tank it.

Guys don't expect Nadal to be favorite just because of 2-1 vs Djokovic. Players will be fresh for this US Open and that will cause Djokovic AO mode to arrive at USO.

That's how Federer plays for many, many years... And it worked 3 times... Hope Rafa and Novak will do same tactics when they are not top favourites anymore...
