Isner is an extremely tricky opponent for Tsits. Could probably be easier for him if it's a night session. If Isner is having a good serving day (high 1st serve %) he could cause the upset here. Having said that, still picking Stef in 4. Hope he can get through this one.

They played in March this year and Sissypass beat him 6-3 6-2. Sissypass should win in 3 or 4, and then post stupid snowflake tweets after the match and write stupid messages on the camera like "witness the game".

Isner always seems like he'd be a nighmare to play - even on clay, even though he's older, even though he can't move that great or sustain a long rally if the point gets going. The serve always brings the potential to make sets or matches interesting.

He might actually be helped by the clay when he's not serving - gives him a little more time, plus he's tall and the ball bounces higher. His serve is going to be massive no matter, even if not quite as much as on other surfaces.

All that said, I still expect that Stefano will win.

All of their matches were very close except this year's Acapulco. At this RG Isner seems to be comfortable with the clay courts which allow him to ace a lot. Given Tsits's below normal ROS this should be an intriguing match. Still expect Tsits in 4.

But if Tsitsipas level is lower, or he is not focused, he maybe in a real tough one.

From the stats Isner's serve seem to be working in these conditions. But they put this match in the night session. I suppose the organizers want to keep Tsitsipas in the tournament.

isner wouldn't be my ideal opponent if i'm SissyPas. Playing some 7 footer if his serve is clicking is never fun even though he can't sustain a 3 shot rally. Sissy wins but it could be a struggle

I think that is why Isner is going hard from the get-go. That FH for 15-40 was huge. He wants the comfort break so he can focus on big serving.
