Yea it's shame he isn't as popular as other players like Bryce Harper because he doesn't do things such as getting into altercations with other players, showboating, or holding up free agency. Although those are things that make the news for the wrong reasons, Harper acting up and being more "outspoken" has made his name appear on more headlines than TroutThe biggest travesty is Mike Trout not even cracking the top 100. I know the guy doesn't care about being famous, but it's a real shame because pound for pound, he might be the best athlete on the planet these days.
Talent-wise though, Harper isn't even in the same stratosphere as Trout. Mike's still only 27 years old and he's already carved out a HOF career, which is insane. I've been following baseball for a while now and I don't think I've ever seen such a complete player before. He's elite in pretty much every aspect of the game: he regularly hits well over .300, blasts over 40 hrs, drives in 100 rbis, steals 40 bases, plays GG defense, frequently gets on base, etc.
