My favorite barricades since the originals (loved that shoe!). These feel like a more stable and lighter version of the 6s, the 7s were just too clunky for me.

I think these seem really wide. Also, the inside ankle part seems to be gouging a bit, which is a problem with Adidas shoes. The source is not the eyelet this time, it is just the shoe is really stiff there.
Nice, airy, and comfy. Especially for today's hot humid Texas weather.
Do they seem more comfortable than the 7s?

New 8.0...played 3 sets in them this morning.
A few observations:
1) Quite stiff and plasticky compared to V9, GR4, GR5
2) Half-size larger than shoes listed above and Gel Solution Speed
3) The toe box and heel is wider than shoes listed above
4) I felt the upper digging into my ankle on the medial side by the top eyelet
5) The shoes definitely softened up after 3 sets (thankfully)
6) I can tell the 8.0 is nearly indestructible

I'm usually an Asics and New Balance fan but this new Barricades look good... 7s were nice but were a little too heavy.
Might look to these sooner or later.

I wore my 8's for the first time today. They feel like typical Barricades with a bit more room in the toe box versus the 6 and 7's. If you don't lace them tightly enough, your foot tends to slide forward. Tighten the laces.
Wider. I think I could have gone down a half-size.
That's interesting to hear as I'm the opposite. I wear the same size, a 12, in all Adidas including the B8 and B7. I wear an 11.5 in Nikes. The B8 do seem a little wider in the forefoot though(not in a bad way), similar to the B5s.
Basically, the moral of the story is to try before you buy as everyone's feet are a different shape.

Yes sir, good eye you have there. Loved it but long gone now though, replaced with an E92 M3 mainly due my other half hating the SMGIII and me wanting something a little lighter for occasional track use.

I don't doubt it...there's lots to love about 10 cylinders. I know the m3 is a blast, too.
My last one was a 2010 335i with a Dinan tune making about 420 lbs of torque. Very fun daily driver.
Current car is a 2013 135is with the DCT tranny. Small but really sporty and tossable. It's still stock...so far
Cant wait to see the new m2 and m4
Can't go wrong with either. Change isn't like B6-B7 where the latter was a far better shoe. The 8 is more of tweak, bit better breathability and a small touch wider. B7 Djokos will be more rare. I really like both my 7s and 8s and am not sure yet which I prefer, so I'd pick purely on what you like the look of.

If 8 is wider I would probably go for 7 then, don't need shoes for very wide feet and they might even cause problems then...
Also, the Djoker Red ones could do great for clay, dirtying them up won't be so good, even if they might still need cleaning, other would look like they were worn on a construction site.

went from the 335is DCT to a GTI 6MT. Could not stand the DCT stuff...
335is though was a fine machine.
Tuned GTI is a lot of fun...
Back to shoes, absolutely love my B7's. However, I bought the B8's and they are definitely more comfy out of the box. They are wider/roomier, so, I have to tie them really tight. Stability is still top notch. They are a tad cooler than the 7's. Definitely lighter and that is the biggest advantage.

Nice, the 1-chassis plus 3L tt and DCT make a great combo and it doesn't really need anymore power. I bet it's great fun on the track. I was a pure stick shift guy growing up, but since living in Los Angeles I made the switch to dual clutch and have never looked back. I've never driven a Cayman but have heard great things, while I grew up driving warm VWs and still have a soft spot for them.
I'm very much looking forward to the F80 too, it seems they are working hard on lowering the weight and 3,300 has been rumored which would be great.
To try and veer back on topic, I have to say that having tried many brands and styles of shoes (Asics, Wilson, Nike, Adidas, New Balance) I keep coming back to the Barricade. It's the best shoe for me as I find them comfortable, stable and way tougher (sole and upper) than any other shoe.

OK, spent 2 hours playing a match at Shinjuku, Tokyo last night. About 90F, 100% humidity, terrible conditions. Occassional drizzle.
The B8's performed great! Did not feel hot at all. Excellent stability and traction. Was a bit concerned about possible slipping because of wider/looser design, however, the file-like inside design works!

I tear through the toes and uppers of shoes (hole in GR5 drag guard after 2 hours) and these seem great after about 10 hours so far, very similar to the 7.

Yes and yes. Only Barricades can last for me, though surprisingly the Wilson Rush Pros last the second longest.

I think the toe guard is just as good as the 7s but they don't seem to wrapp around as far back on the inside of the shoe as on the 7s. Personally this is the area I wear through the quickest as I'm on my toes all the time on GreenSet Acrylic courts.

After how many hours? Could you please post pics? I drag somehwat but it doesn't sound as high of a drag as yours, the part of the upper that really needs to be tough on my shoes is the Drag Guard area on the medial side.
I would get 50 hours out of B7s before a hole came under the big toe, that's almost double the time I get from CourtBallistec 3.3/4.3s.
Having worn through 3 pairs of B7s and with about 5 weeks with my B8s I'd say they're very similar. B8s a touch wider and breathe better. Better styling too. Similar stability, toughness seems similar but too early to say for sure. Can't go wrong with either, but B7s for $69 or $79 are hard to beat.
I could post pics of the 8s but it's only been 12 hours so not much point as the only noticeable wear is on the upper drag guards which are well sized and a good thickness. What I will say is the toe on the 8s is doing a lot better than the 3.3s or 4.3s I've worn after the same 12 hours.

I'm not so worried about the toes but the lack of lateral support from the NIKE CBs 4.3 on clay. From that point of view I prefer Barricades V (the only ones I got). Can you tell a difference between 7 and 8 from that point of view? I know you said similar stability, yet still....What I'm getting at is that I end up tightening my shoelaces too much on the CBs 4.3 b/c of that lack of stability/support on clay, hope that's not the case with Barricades 8? Otherwise I'll stay with 7.
No worries bud, happy to help. The B8s have a far stiffer upper "exoskeleton" than the 4.3s so the foot is held in place better (so long as you synch the laces) than on the 4.3s. Additionally, I wear the same size 12 in both the 8s and 7s but at first the 8s will feel different and roomier, but once on court they feel almost identical to the 7s to me.
