Agnieszka Radwanska is going to win a grand slam soon.

I can feel it, I am not a psychic but I feel that Agnieszka Radwanska is going to win a grand slam singles title soon. Agnieszka I think she finally gets it, when she plays a top player like she did against Serena Williams in Toronto she must attack. Agnieszka played Serena awesome although she lost 7-6 6-4 she attacked the net, she attacked Serena's second serves.

The key for Agnieszka is to continue taking risks, it is the only way she's going to win a major she can't play it safe and her match in Toronto proved she finally realizes this.

like Sharapova, Radwanska would need some other player to take out Serena. I don't see how she could win a GS with Serena playing. This year's Wimbledon, she had a big chance with Serena out and could not capitalize either.

as soon as all the better players retire maybe. but by then younger players will be coming up who will just over power her like the best players do today.

I certainly hope she does. I'm a fan. There is no one else on the WTA tour I like to watch besides Aga and Serena. Some of the others who got my hopes up, like Sam and Petra, have just dashed them one too many times by their crash-and-burn ways. :(

Me too. I enjoy watching both of them and am glad to see Aga's improvement.

I agree that she looked pretty dangerous against Serena in Toronto. The players who win on the WTA are the players who attack and can execute consistently. There are lots of other women who attack but they're not consistent. Radwanska is a model of consistency so if she can attack more she'll definitely start to get more wins over the top trio of Serena, Azarenka and Sharapova, which will hopefully lead to major titles.

Her serving has improved and she has continued to put up great results (a lot of detractors when she first made her Top 5 surge thought she was a flash in the pan.)

I think it is in the stars for her.

Radwanska's biggest weapon is playing differently from others. It is a huge advantage. She is the smartest player on the tour. But to win a GS would be very very difficult to her. She had a real chance in London, and she missed it.

Agnieszka is only twenty four, yes she blew the opportunity at Wimbledon but I think she's knows what to do now. Agneiszka was very close to beating Serena last week in Toronto there were only a few points difference she could have won the match. Aga knows against Serena she must be aggressive like she was in Toronto she played the right way now.

Why are people acting like Pug-wanska played Serena so tough? I don't care that one of the sets went to a tiebreaker, she got straight setted. You're rewarded for winning sets, not games, and a 12 year old girl who played Serena would've won the same number of sets that Pug-wanska did...ZERO. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: she'll need a multi car accident involving other top players-and a good day-to ever win a slam.

Also ESPN body issue called Agnieszka to pose nude for them and she's been praised by many people for having a feminine body and features. Agnieszka is an athlete but she certainly is one of the more feminine tennis players out there.

Your comment is so immature, Agnieszka pushed Serena HARD in their semifinal if she had served a little better she would have won. The match was almost two hours. It was just a few points difference. The match ended in the long game at 4-4 in the second set, I feel if Agnieszka had won it she would of have won the match.

ESPN is a channel full of sociopolitical agendas. Radwanska would not get such a photoshoot anywhere else.

You know something? The next completely relevant post that you make will be your first. What in the world does Pug-wanska posing nude for ESPN have to do with her winning a Grand Slam?????????????????

Secondly, if she pushed her so friggin' hard, why didn't she win any sets????? I don't give a good goddamn if the match went 4 hours and 50-48 in each tiebreaker, she...lost...in...straight sets, as in, the minimum. Do you understand the rules of tennis?!?! You "feel" that she would've won the match had she won the 4-4 game? Well, there's a line about what people can and should feel, but I'm not gonna go there. Trying to spin a straight set loss for a player into an actual win for her is so stupid(and, just for good measure, a player against whom she is, what, 0-6 against?), it boggles the mind-not to mention, does the expression, "If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle" mean anything to you?

Unbelievable....

and your comment is irrelevant

Anna Kournikova was on multiple magazines and she was the most popular tennis player of the late 90s - early 2000s, despite NEVER winning a WTA title

and if my grandmother had balls, she'd be my grandfather...

You can talk about 'if's and buts' all you want but the fact remains that Serena eats pushers like Aga for breakfast. Hence why she has a perfect 6-0 record against her.

The only takeaway from that match is that Serena is able to beat Aga even when she's sick.

Didn't see your post until I had posted mine, great minds think alike, huh?

He reminds me of an NFL championship game between Bears and Redskins, won by the Bears, 73-0. Early in the game, still scoreless, a Redskin receiver dropped an easy pass in the end zone, and, obviously, the Redskins failed to score. After the game a reporter asked the receiver what he thought would've have happened if he had held onto the pass. Maresmo probably would've burbled, "Oh, yeah, if we had scored there, we'd have taken it home to victory." Instead, the receiver shrugged and said, "It probably would've ended 73-7."

...not to mention, no taste. Every year there are people who angrily write in to Sports Illustrated to cancel their subscription because of the titillating swimsuit issue(well, maybe not so much anymore). If I subscribed to ESPN-I don't-and I saw that shot, I might un-subscribe, too, but for the reason of being induced to execute the Technicolor Yawn...

Uhhh, Soriana C is way prettier than Agnes, but I wouldn't call Radwanska a pug. Wishing both ladies the best of luck for the rest of the year.

It still makes me laugh (ironically of course), that Radwanska felt she should have won the tournament even though Lisicki served for the match twice and created numerous opportunities to win it, the match was always in Lisicki's hands.

I have never taken to Radwanska and her powderpuff game but to have a bad attitude as well in the mix, giving Liscki a pathetic handshake and literally having a go in the press conference, as far as I'm concerned she is not and has never been good enough to win a major tournament. Apparently she has a great record against Bartoli but she didn't even get to the final.

And I expect people to point out Bartoli, and yes of course things fell into place for her, but Bartoli was ready to grab the opportunity with both hands whereas Radwanska is literally waiting for her opponent's mistakes or to blow up completely. One of the reasons players like Kuznetsova hated playing Radwanska back in the late 2000s.

Murray learned (the hard way) that to win majors you have to be prepared to take some risks, Murray is never going to be a shotmaker but he understood in the end he has to try to make some things happen out there. Radwasnks and Wozniacki need to learn from that. Unfortunately for them, neither have a serve hence they need their opponent to blow up.

But I just cannot stand Radwanska's bad attitude to losing to Lisicki.

It will come, I feel like she's the Murray of the WTA. She has 3 "on paper" players who everyone thinks are better untill she comes out goating and suddenly she's the player to beat. She needs more power tho, thats something the big 3 have over her and imo, power is what wins matches.

Look at wimbledon this year, her big 3 rivals all got taken out but she had to play the beastly power serve of Lisicki and got beat. She would of been all over Bartoli in the final but she blew it. I still think she'll get one before 2015 tho.

Radwanska is bitter--probably thanks to her feeding off of the BS from her cheerleaders, all claiming she's some "smart" player who should be outplaying everyone, so as a result, she's more attitude than ability.

True. I think Radwanska and Wozniacki would need the miracle draw of brainfarting/injured/absent players in order to win a major.

I think her game get's too much credit for being "intelligent". She's a pusher of the worst kind. I had more respect for Wozniaki.

Game aside, I don't care for her new diva attitude. Apparently, it's a family thing. Her sister blew up at one of the volunteers during the BOTWC. They're cheap imitation Kournikova's minus the looks. And then there's their mom who isn't one of the nicer parents of famous tennis players I've met. In comparison Mr. Sharapov is great, very entertaining and down to earth.

This thread is downs syndrome. If she was "going to win a slam soon" she would have already. Instead Bartoli has a slam. Any decent player, other than Serena, is going to win a slam soon, maybe that should be the thread title.

The Radwanska's do not represent Poland.
