In the tennis world, it would probably be 9.7 out of 10. and on this messageboard there's actually two roddicks, one roddick that 5/10 knows and rod-dick which the other 5/10 would know
Kevin Patrick said:In the US, outside of tennis fans, I'd be shocked if more than 1 out of 10 know who Hewitt, Safin, Moya,Fed, or Ferrero is.
And people only know Roddick beacuse he dated Mandy Moore.

I highly doubt it but you never know. I hear crow is a delicasee in some places in the world, such as TW cyberspace.
Well I can only say that England probably only know Federer as he won the only tournament that the public watch.
The non tennis loving American public probably don't know Federer as well as their beloved Andy. If they did Federer would own the pole.
Federer has it in the bag, imo the only person to stop him was Henman as he had crowed support and the great record.
It's Fed's.

I think a few more peeps know who Fed is now. And also that SPanish kid.
War is over, Fedal united!
That might seem crazy but I remember a Charlie Rose interview with Federer back then. Charlie didn't seem to have a clue about tennis and he and is audience didn't seem to know who the greatest player in the sport was.
Tennis isn't as popular as we might think it is. To us tennis fans, it might seem unfathomable, but the sad fact is that - for one reason or another - the sport isn't that big.
There's a reason there hasn't been a tennis game on PS4 until 2018, 4 years after the console's release. They don't sell. Most people wouldn't buy a tennis game because they barely know the rules. I've lost count of the number of people I've met who has me how the scoring system works.
It's sad, but I don't think the sport is as popular as it should be.
Uh, no. Sampras could have walked thru any mall and rarely been noticed. Agassi may have - at least version 1 because the hair and ‘image is everything’ commercials.Probably the sport is not so popular because Americans dont dominate it anymore.Back in the days you had Sampras,Aggasi,McEnroe.
LeBron would probably dominate the sport bro.Probably the sport is not so popular because Americans dont dominate it anymore.Back in the days you had Sampras,Aggasi,McEnroe.
Probably Lendl tier with the same type of lost finals conversation rate.LeBron would probably dominate the sport bro.
He's that amazing Spanish tennis player that got stuck at around #5 in the world, and is a total grinder. Love that guy.
Dude, that's Roger Ferrer, not Roja Federer who is from Switzerland or Serbia.
LeBron would probably dominate the sport bro.
Nadal would beg to differDidnt he cramp up after 35mins because the ac wasnt on?
Tennis wouldnt give him 3 serves and let the ball bounce twice, they enforce the rules, unlike the nba.
