I just finished School Days, one of the more controversial anime out there. It really did have a loathsome and ridiculous main character, exaggerated levels of selfishness and narcissism, where it just become almost comical at one stage. It was believable in the first few episodes, that quickly took a turn into the realm of fanciful BS.

You knew something horrible was going to happen with some good foreshadowing (not to mention I was recommended this for disturbing anime), and the climax did not disappoint. Irrational and emotionally broken, relatable, but just easily preventable throughout this whole series. Certainly an ending I will never forget. @SpinToWin Thanks, I guess o_O;)

I've been watching My Wife is the Student Council President. It's a stupid ecchi anime, but if you just want a little lighthearted ecchi-comedy that will make you grin, I'd recommend it.

Damn, Tokyo Ghoul become a massive clusterf#ck in these latest couple of seasons. So disappointed. Supposedly they shoved in over a hundred chapters of the manga into 12 or so episodes, no wonder I was so lost....

Dropping it I think, read the manga instead.

Yeah, similar feelings. When I found out the show is episodic, I was a bit weary at first, but the humor quickly won me over.

Its not for the feint of heart if you're looking for continuity to be cleanly wrapped up in 20-30 episodes. Heck, it probably needs about 30 episodes to get warmed up but oh boy when it does, it's very impressive.

After about 100 or so episodes I was quite glad that they formatted it the way they did. Its one of those timeless shows you can go back and rewatch favourite episodes many times over. The characters are fleshed out wonderfully.

On the first season of Psycho-Pass right now. Pretty interesting concept in this one, quite a number of twists and turns and the like. It has quite a slow build up, but it's definitely worthwhile as future events and scenarios are foreshadowed brilliantly. It's quite violent and disturbing as well, didn't really anticipate this in the first few episodes.

Probably some deranged weeb not happy with one of the studios more recent projects. Though there are rumors and speculations about stolen ideas and plagiarism, but whatever. Over a $1,000,000 USD has been raised already, small compensation for all the of lives lost, but it's something....

Currently watching Serial Experiments Lain at the moment, a supposed classic. I'm six episodes in and I barely have any clue as to what's going on. Just keeps getting weirder and weirder.... One question is (possibly) answered, three arise in it's place, and so on....

Also finally caught up with Attack on Titan, that last season was especially amazing.

No better time to watch anime than now ;) Not that this alert level four affects my work in any way lol, still gotta milk the cows, sigh....

Dorohedoro is the best series this season IMO, it's like Kekkai Sensen on drugs.

So I know we have a few users on here who partake in some viewing on the odd occasion. I generally watch a series every month or so, but I'm picky as **** so I'm not the best example to use for regular viewing haha.

Anyone watch anything, if so what are you watching?

I'm currently looking at HunterxHunter, has been alright so far :)
HunterxHunter is a great start, I love that show.
Have you watched Sword Art Online? It's one of the more mainstream shows, about characters trapped in a VR game. Great stuff.

I'm waiting for Dorehedoro to be on Netflix, but I may just try and watch it elsewhere.

One of my favorite mangas of all time is Kengan Asura. I love it enough to even watch Netflix's 3d crappy animation. Seriously, read the manga. It's like Baki if Baki wasn't stupidly drawn and if Baki didn't have guys that swallowed grenades 30 years ago only to regurgitate it at this exact fight to blow someone up.

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is an underrated show. It's got some of the best anime OST's of all time and it's brilliantly written.

Well, then I can't give you spoilers. But yeah, Aizen will return, assuming you witnessed his defeat.

Hope it will be good.
Have they announced how many episodes will the new season consist of and which production studio will take over the series?

Not yet. They have only launched the trailer, but haven't announced an official date yet, only that it is returning. 2021 is the earliest it could happen.

I know i'm late here although since I was a kid I watched only Japanese anime, I remember clearly Urusei Yatsura ( Lam ) Dash Kappey LoL and so many others with robots like Gundam, Daitan 3 and so on with Cyborbs heros. I watched them all in the 80s also because that's what we got in Italy back then.
Then I stopped watching them til for some reason they started showing Inuyasha I believe in the late 2000 then Neon Genesis Evangalion, then I quit watching them again.
Two weeks ago I was watching the PBS new but the Japanise ones I don't know why and they were talking about the Demon Slayer anime. I thought it was pretty cool and I started watching it and got hooked up for good.
Now i'm also watching Tokyo Ghoul which I thought it was ok in the beginning but it's actually really well done. This new anime are so much better than the old ones!!!!!!

I love this Unravel from the Tokyo Ghoul opening...TK Ling Tosite Sigure is the band. I also like indie, alternative rock, progressive rock, post rock and electro rock indie it was easy to like for me.
