So I know we have a few users on here who partake in some viewing on the odd occasion. I generally watch a series every month or so, but I'm picky as **** so I'm not the best example to use for regular viewing haha.

Anyone watch anything, if so what are you watching?

I'm currently looking at HunterxHunter, has been alright so far :)

I only started watching anime about a year and a half ago, as a lot of people would watch it on Ship, when the work day is finished. I watched and caught up to One Piece and Naruto. I now hate waiting a full week for a new episode to come out. The only other anime I have seen is Attack On Titan.

I started two years back in year 12, a great starter is always FMA: Brotherhood or Code Geass, both are great

I haven't watched One Piece or Naruto, way too big for me haha

I remember watching Naruto when I was younger, and really liked it. I watched a couple of episodes of Attack on Titan; it reminds me of a cross between The Walking Dead, Spider-Man and TMNT.

Attack on Titan is good!!!!! Awaiting season 2 as I type (hopefully it's in the works). Naruto and Dragon Ball, Z and Gt are epic!!!!! BERSERK is probably the most violent medieval fantasy anime ever made (my grade "A" seal of approval) Prince of Tennis is Dragon Ball Z with tennis racquets! There's too many to list!

G.O.A.T.
used to be into it big time! made Netflix dvd rental program all worth it.

classics for me are Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Claymore (although its aged now), 12 Kingdoms (also aged)…

the only new one i've been following, mainly due to lack of time, is Attack on Titan and i can't wait for season 2!

My favorites are Air Bender series. I watched full episode. Air Bender II was not as good as first one.
I couldn't find any good one after that. somebody tell me if there is any good one out there.

Depends on what you're looking for, if you're looking for something ATLA based maybe Hunter x Hunter might work.

Just generally brilliant ones include: Psycho Pass, Code Geass, Shin Sekai Yori, Monster and Cowboy Bepop are all amazing, although I had trouble getting into CB at first. Oh and Fate/Zero, Fate/Zero is fantastic.

Wow u folks are making me so old by saying u watch Naurto when u were young. I watched Doreamon when it first aired in east asia in the early 80's. I remember reading my anime comics when i was here until the mid 80's till Robotech showed on tv here. My favs are Escaflowne, Ranma 1/2, and Full Metal Panic. But there are so many others as well.

If anybody is in the mood for political comedy, watch "Nerima Daikon Bros". Its the closest anime equivalent I've found to South Park, and its friggin hilarious.:)

Shingeki no Kyojin aka Attack on Titan, Elfen Lied, Death Note and Evangelion is what I've seen worth mentioning.

Hunter x Hunter is one of the best shows I have ever seen. Trust me; it will get a lot darker and the characters are really complicated. Togashi is a genius in manga writing and the animation itself is top notch.

I would also suggest Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood(FMAB), Death Note, Code Geass, One Piece and Naruto.

Full Metal Achemist Brotherhood is consistently rater near the top of best anime lists and has a great story, with some of the best villains, fights and animation.

Death Note is an amazing story of wits, mystery, and is only 37 episodes long. I highly recommend it.

Code Geass is similar to death note in terms of the main character being a "villain/anti-hero" but in a totally different setting. This is only 50 episodes I think.

Naruto is about ninjas( but not in the conventional way) and is nostalgic for me since I grew up with it. I really enjoyed everything except the last arc which left me disappointed and disinterested. However, it is full of action, great characters, fights, music and comedy.

One Piece is about pirates( but not in the conventional way) and is up there but has way too many episodes which is not a problem for me but discourages a lot of people. So I would suggest reading the manga if you have a chance. One Piece has great mysteries, characters and comedy.

However, HunterxHunter is the best shounen anime ever IMO. FMAB/ One Piece are really awesome as well.

Oops, didn't read through the thread and not realized that you watched the majority of these. Oh well, hope others will watch these!

A lot of the shows listed in this thread are pretty mainstream and are overrated. (shingeki no kyojin especially imo) Not saying they aren't good animes though..

Some of my favorite animes include anime's from the 90's and early 2000's such as GTO, Cowboy Bebop, and Samurai Champloo. If you are into baseball, Major (Seasons 1-6, a little long, are very good), Diamond no Ace, and Cross Game are really good series.

If you decided to watch Hunter x Hunter, I recommend watching the original series, and then jump to the (2011) remake where the series ends in the original. I think the chimera ant arc is where the original series ends before.

But if you are purely limited to anime on netflix, I would recommend Eureka Seven, Ghost in a Shell, Welcome to the NHK, and Sword Art Online.

Will recommend this one, caught up with it over the past week in a marathon, was pretty good.

Anyone here watched Giant Killing? Forget if I've already mentioned it.

Code Geass is a bit of train wreck plotwise, but it's so enjoyable you can ignore them and still love it.

Code Geass 1 has good plot, but R2's plot is indeed messy initially but becomes better after some episodes. However, the characters are very lovable in Code Geass and the anime as a whole is very well executed. One of the most memorable animes for me from the past decade.

The most recent anime that I have watched was Kill La Kill. It is pretty good character and story wise, once you get over the costumes. :p

SAO is a decent teenager adventure anime. Haven't watched SAO2, however.

Psycho-Pass looks good, artwork wise as well as the premise of the story. It's on my to-watch list.

Grew up on Gigantor, Astro (Atom in Japan) Boy, Speed Racer, Marine Boy and Kimba.............dating myself here

OMG you reminded me Speed racer and Marine boy. Those are so old one. Back then there were some other good anime. I can't remember the exact titles.

I adored C.C, probably my favorite character in anime.

I despise SAO though, Kirito is completely wooden and his entire character is essentially summed up by plot!hacks and scores of women lusting after him for no reason at all. I can't step too far into it without spoilers. Because the story is essentially a wankfest as everyone fawns over his decidedly mythical *** for no reason whatsoever.

The plot is predictable, and uttely cliche the dialogue is laughable and for the sole purpose of emotional impact they kill off almost any secondary character screaming "SAD MOMENT" at the viewer but so many people die for the purpose of 'feels' it becomes utterly numbing and useless.

And that's not even starting with the fact they had an opportunity to create an intense dramatic epic which explored the concept of humanity and morality and in turn skipped every vaguely interesting plot piece by wrapping them up in five minutes and then spending the remaining fifteen by again having girls fawn over him. Don't even get me started on Yui the magical in game daughter.

SAO is a horrid mess and the worst 15 episodes I've put myself through in animated television and I watched Valvrave (Which is actually so bad it's brilliant)

I am the male version of C.C. Time to date? Just kiddin' yo. I'm more like L anyway.

Type yourself as an anime character. Who would you be?

Hmm... Jaded, cynical, sarcastic and filled with an overblown ego.

Hah. Interesting indeed. He's a great character.

Ever remember an old poster here called Fate_Archer? He doesn't post here these days... shame. I haven't been watching anime recently so I'm a bit behind the loop. FMA Brotherhood is still probably the one that left the biggest impression on me, but Code Geass was dynamic and explosive. Both are brilliant. Oh, and Lloyd Asplund is pure quality.

We'll see how Shingeki no Kyojin develops. My problem with it is that's it's too impersonal — what FMA Brotherhood absolutely nails, Attack on Titan leaves cold... so far.

I have the same issue with Breaking Bad.

Have you been watching the new Fate/Stay Night? It gorgeous, not as good as Fate/Zero though :(

Probably before my time I'd be guessing.

No, I've been meaning to get started, but have been having an "anime block". Maybe I fear the anime and it's becoming psychological (kidding of course). Will get back to it in due time.

I'll probably go with Steins:Gate first, though.

And yeah, he hasn't posted for a couple of years, more or less.

Ooh Steins Gate is meant to be superb.

It's been 2 years and I've yet to finish Monster still, so good but such a slog.

Yeah, you feel disconnected from the kyojin's characters, the story jumps fast between them. The same did not happen to fullmetal.

Awesome; also remember Gundam.

Wonder if there are any avid Gundam fans here. I'm not a huge fan, but have watched a couple of their series and thought they were enjoyable but not mind-blowing: Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny, and Gundam 00. Gundam SEED Destiny was the worst out of the 3 that I've watched, however.

Never had the chance to watch the older Gundam series that the franchise is more famous for.

Started Berserk whilst I was away a week ago, not bad but a bit outdated animation wise which is to be expected.

If you want sheer utter depression, go watch Shigatsu Wa kimi no Uso, that show is depressing as ****.

I hear there will be a new series of Dragon Ball Z. Gonna have to watch that for the sake of nostalgia.

Eternal Envy recommended Code Geass in the hot tub while being interviewed by Hot Bid, who was also in the hot tub (probably almost nobody gets WTH I'm talking about here).
