Any player with a racquet with PJ of a PS 85, 90?

Well....it's a doubt i have...

It's normal to see players with "old" PS with some PJ of nCode o similar...

But, does anyone know if in the time of the old PS, someone play with another racquet with a PJ of the PS ???

I want to know it because, today, the PS it's a reference to all pro players, but when the PS was new, wich racquet was the reference to those players???

PS: Sorry for my english, im not from a english country, i hope you can understand what im asking :(

So you wan't to know of any Pro's using a NON Prostaff 85, but with the Prostaff 85. The answer is no. Wilson wouldn't allow it. They wouldn't bother.

he's basically saying if anyone used the exact same ps 85 mold but a different composition but paintjobbed as a ps 85. im very sure the ps 85 is the ultimate stick for that mold, no need to go back for players to try out others w/the same mold (jack kramer 85, reflex, javelin, ceramic, staff, whatever blah blah blah). In other words, when you have a ps 85 in your hands you now have the best there is for that time.

I guess it's a ncode ntour actually.

But...it was an example.

Well..it seams there's not a reference racquet when the PS was a new racquet.

It was a doubt, just that.
thx :)

it's obviously not a pure drive, have you looked a bit more? the bottom grommets aren't the regular woofer ones, and it looks like it has wilson's power holes, it's not the PD and to the PJ question, earlier on in Fed's career there was the obvious PJ, when he was suppose to be using the PS hyper carbon, but that was one of the only confirmed PS PJs

There is no real answer. Different Pro Staff Midsize players came directly from different frames. However, the Pro Staff Midsize itself feels like a graphite version of the Jack Kramer Pro Staff wood racket. It's the frame that the ultimate Pro Staff Midsize player used (before using a Kneissl in between).

While the Pro Staff Midsize was a great frame in its time, saying that it's still a reference racket is putting it on a pedestal. The bulk of Wilson's pros are using a 95, not the 90 that was made to replace the 6.0 85. But that's true that several retired pros have been using the 90, with a couple notable still with the 85.

BTW, this topic with Harkleroad has been already discussed before at length: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=90399

And I think it was pretty much determined that she's using a real PD but with a Wilson butt cap. I don't think Babolat paintjobs any other manufacturer's racquets.

OPINIONS have been discussed at length about whether or not it's a PJ and it is STILL YET TO BE DETERMINED.

BTW BreakPoint, Don't disguise one fault with another. The issues is whether or not it's real, and you sum it up with just your OPINION again, not facts.

OK, so if it is a paintjob, then what racquet is it?

I thought so. You obviously know nothing about tennis racquets or else you'd know that no Wilson racquets look like that and that Babolat does not paint over Wilson racquets.

Right. Here's some info you neglected to mention which was directed at YOU about your comment:

Right, and this was the reply to AA209:
You sure you know the PD your talking about?

Basically, either AA209 doesn't know what he's talking about or he mis-viewed the pics. That is NOT a Wilson racquet but is a PD. Babolat does not do paintjobs. Can you name another pro player using a different brand racquet but with a Babolat paintjob on it?

Can't be a ntour?

I mean...it's a diff frame compare to the sixone....maybee a surge?
