Surprised they let tiger in his box since he hasn't looked that great in the public eye lately with the DUI and cheating on his wife and personal life kind of imploded. Rafas family seems to be tight knit and have good values and morals. I think Fed kind of ended their friendship after all of the stuff with tiger cheating on his wife went down. That being said if it was a fedal final I expect he would have sat in Feds box possibly.

Also have Nadals nephews been sitting in the box in any of the matches this USO? I haven't seen them once in the box this USO. I was texting my dad and he thought it was crappy they let tiger and his family sit with them and take the seats from the nephews. I told him I didn't think they had been in the players box any that I had seen.

His DUI in april/may? That does bother people and he put other people in danger. He had 5 drugs in his system and fell asleep on the road and was lucky he didn't hurt anyone.

As far as his marital status and cheating with numerous women? It concerned a lot of his sponsors as he lost about all of them other than Nike.


As I said it just doesn't seem like someone Rafa would associate with. Fed quit associating with him and I feel like Rafa is a nicer guy than fed.

Woods is the most talented athlete to Rafa and he respects and admires him tremendously. What ever he did in his private life doesn't change that fact. Plain and simple. And as far as not caring about what someone does in their personal lives and it shouldn't bother me? A lot of people do care. Athletes are role models and kids look up to them. Thats the reason tiger lost a lot of fans.

Who would you rather have your kid look up to? Tiger, who had affairs with about 30 women(minimum) and and got a dui with 5 drugs in his system or Roger Federer or Rafa? I'd choose the last two.

And no, athletes don't have to be role models and have clean personal lives. But being role models and upstanding people gets them endorsements and lots of fans.....
