Anyone else done with Espn tv coverage?

With my espn360 and star sports livestreams there is no bull*hit. I don't have to endure the stupidity of Chris Fowler and the others talking about God knows what instead of showing live action. I put espn on for an hour to see how the coverage is and it is a waste of time. I can see more on the livestreams and not be annoyed. I am boycotting espn tv coverage for two whole weeks. How about you?

I am this is ridiculous. IOm watching it right now. They continue to show these boring womens matches while good men matchs which are way more entertaining and closer are in play. I cannot stand tv coverage wasted on these boring womens matches where opponents just play pure baseline tennis.

I am not a fan of WTA, but this match between Jankovic and Paszek is pretty entertaining.

So you found the Jankovic-Paszek boring, not entertaining, and not close? How much closer would you prefer it to be?

I don't usually like watching women's tennis all that much, but I found this match to be absolutely captivating and my eyes were glued to ESPN2. Not boring at all, very entertaining with some incredible shotmaking. Did you see the first match point for Paszek? That was the most amazing match point I have ever seen, men or women.

BTW, don't most pro men also play purely baseline tennis these days as well?

Has someone win this ridiculously drawn out encounter?
Stopped watching since I lost my patience.

Totally agree.
I think it got to 8 all and there had only been 2 holds of serve in 16 games (something along those lines), that's poor, she's meant to be the 3rd best player in the world!

BP, you nailed it... this was a great match to watch! i kind of got the feeling the trainer time outs were, well...maybe needed, but strategic also! :)

If I wasn't watching ESPN2 I would have missed their interview (even though it was brief) with Jesse Levine.

Can't believe how much air time Davenports pregnancy received. All they talked about was her damn pregnancy. Felt like I was watching Oprah.

I met Jesse, Alex, and Smee all together at the 2006 Sacto Challenger. They were the youngest players there and practically babies compared to everyone else. They'll always be kind of associated together in my head. Can't wait to see Alex again, saw a picture of him recently and he looks like he's grown up and out a lot in a year.

How did I know they were going to show Sharapova? Why is ESPN so interested in her? She's not American. What the hell? There is no guess work when it comes to who ESPN is deciding to show. I really wish I could get ESPN360. Why don't they just sell the rights to the Tennis Channel?

i only know jesse. used to kill him in topspin. guy is kinda goof. we used to love when he was around as he was only one with a car for like a year so we would bug him for rides all the time. its amazing how far he has come when i used to hang out with him he was a little guy with hands. now hes playing aussie open and just watched his interview.

Well here we go. Cutting away from live competetive tennis to show the Chris Evert Tennis Classic. Like I said, it doesn't get any worse than ESPN.

i dont receive espn on my tv so i am loving espn360.com....the user gets to choose from 5-6 live matches, and no commentary is better than bad commentary! :)

It's strange I just happened to look at espn.com to see if why I did not have 360, but lo and behold, since I'm with AT&T, I get it! It is so incredibly satisfying to be able to view 6 different matches in widescreen format with no commentators. The only trouble I have with it is that it's about a minute behind live TV, the streaming is not high-quality, so you constantly have to press the go live button, otherwise the sound gets off. Other than that though, I'm amazed that ESPN pulled off something as awesome with this for tennis. And they fully exceeding my expectations when they decided to broadcast everything including TV in widescreen. Amazing.

My connection was pretty good and I didn't have to press the go live from time to time. I only had to press go live, if I stopped watching the match and later came to it. It'd still be paused where I stopped and I could watch from there or go live. It's really nice that they're showing it.

I dunno about the other matches they do not show.......but I know I am sick of them constantly boasting about how great the williams sisters are and never giving real credit to their opponents. Can they be any more biased.

It is almost like they will lose their job if they say anything remotely against an American player. I am American and it sickens me.

I really like the ESPN 360 coverage. Although the quality isn't that great, it isn't unwatchable. Plus I like just hearing the crowd, the chair ump and the players without any useless commentary. Being able to switch from 6 different courts is a plus too.
