Taking people like Jim Pierce and Damir Dokic into account, I'm pretty sure that insane tennis parents should not be encouraged.

I'd rather deal with mediocre American tennis than see those poor players go through what most of them do publicly because of their insane parents.

Parents who have only their own interests in mind rather than those of their children should never be encouraged, and the USTA should only focus on diffusing the parents' craziness.

Rafa, Sampras, and Federer (as well as countless others) did not have crazy parents. Face it, Americans will never dominate tennis ever again.

I think he's right in a sense that Tennis is much more serious and on the map in Europe now, and starting to come in asia as well I think. This will mean it will probably not be dominated by US players like it used to be. This however does not at all mean there can't be another dominant no. 1 from the US or they could have 3 people in the top 10. The Sampras, Agassi, Courier or Connors, McEnroe days are long gone though and probably won't come back

I remember reading that he would dump Andre's trophies in the trash if he didn't win the tournament.
