Asics Solution Speed FF 'clicking' noise

I was very happy with my speed 3s and need a new shoe. The TW reviewers seem to really like it but there are way too many reviews on line that say it 'clicks' or 'pops' when they wear it. Does anyone out there own a pair? and can you confirm that they do this? thanks!

my speed 3s clicked ... as did one of my pair of 2s. it comes from the plastic over the forefoot. luck of the draw whether you get a pair thats affected

I have/had 3 pairs or the speed 3 and no click on any of them. That said, there was a noticeable difference of stiffness and break in period for all 3. Quality control must be slipping?

im not sure, i thought it was something that would eventually break in but it never did. i didnt know if it was just the way my particular foot made the shoe flex or what. with my 3s only one of the shoes clicked/popped, the other one was fine. ultimately decided that it wasnt worth the OCD crises it caused me and tossed the offending pairs.

A constant clicking noise would drive me insane hence the reason I’m very reticent to buy a pair even tho it’s been my go to shoe model.

Mine click. It lessens over time and you get used to it. It helps to tighten the laces at the front of the foot a bit too. They are very comfy and perform well but the clicking is preventing me from jumping on a second pair.

Tried them and liked them but the click was too much. Sticking to air zoom zeros and vapors.

get a smaller size and there is no clicking. It stops. My insoles squeak cuz i swapped them out

Have you tried removing the swing tag?

For me it’s not an audible ‘click’, but I can feel a little resistance, then a ‘pop’ on the top-front of the shoe.

I was playing doubles today and my opponent was wearing his Speed FFs for the first time. I overheard him commenting on the shoe, and on the changeover asked him about it. Sure enough, he was experiencing the same issue.

i had ss3 and now use ssff, both make the noise. i think it is because i tie them way too tight.

I demo'd 2 pairs. One my asics gel speed 3 size and one a 1/2 down. Both felt terrible and both clicked and clacked. Extremely dissappointed. Not the shoe for me anyways. Im moving on to the Babolat Jet. Sad. Was a such a big speed 3 fan.

I have 2 pairs Both make that popping. It has to do with the way that the rubber coating bends and then pops out when you flex the shoe. For sure, it is annoying as ****. But at least the shoes feel great. I do wish it would go away.

I moved on from Asics due to the popping sound. I loved the Speed2’s but hate the 3’s because of the sound.
