Ok everyone seems to think its either Fed or Nadal and it probably is right but this poll is for who do u think could win if they both crashed out early on?

I am going for Hewitt as i always support him.

I think Nalbandian has this one in the bag. I'm picking him to play Blake in the semis, and Safin vs. Fed in the other half. Blake and Nalby have never played each other, but I think David will pull this one out. I am picking SAFIN over Fed, Marat has beaten Fed when Roger has been at his best before, and Safin plays shotmakers a whole lot different than players that push against him. In the final, I will say that Nalbandian defeats Safin in a close match. Nalbandian is more of a consistent baseliner, and his game could frustrate Marat into making errors.

everyone seems to be going for Blake but IMO i think Nadal will stroll past him....Nadal has improved significantly since he lost to Blake in Indian Wells i mean he got to Wimbledon Final! To many people are under estimating Nadal when it comes to him facing Blake.

Well your question asked "if Fed and Nadal crashed out early" which implies that Nadal wouldn't even reach the quarters. So why shouldn't they vote for Blake?

We all know that it' going to be either Federer or Nadal.

But since you can't say that on this thread.....

I say Nabaldian because he seems like the only some what consistent player.

I would have said Murray but since he lost Washington forget it.

Clement can't win Toronto.

Clement came out of no where to win Washington i mean he beat Hewitt, Safin and Murray. That was the 1st time he beat Hewitt by actually playing. He has beat him once before but my w/o. He ruined my weekend of tennis and i will always go against him. Eurosport 2 was showing semi finals of Washington but Clement had to step in and beat Hewitt and prevent the Aus 2005 Final rematch Safin v HEwitt!

clement got lucky..........

He got lucky in two tourneys so far beating Nadal, Ancic, Hewitt, Safin, and a hot Murray...please, give the guy some credit.

What do you guys think about Ljubicic in Toronto?

No chance to me.

Clement is a excellent player but I'm just saying he got lucky.

Clement won't been noticed in Toronto.

Anyway I voted Berdych since Hewitt has an extremely tough draw and Berdych has been playing well this year coupled with his relatively easy road through to the quarters *except for Nadal in the third round*. Still imo he can beat anyone he plays on his side of the draw including Rafa.

Ljubicic isn't taking it. He always chokes. He won't keep his rank up as high as it is for much longer. Throughout the rest of the year, yes, because he's gained so many points by surpassing his previously appalling Grand Slam records, but he won't hold up in 2007. No way.

Ljubicic was supposed to practice with his coach on court #4 at 2:00 PM today. He never showed up, so Nadal ended up practicing on that court (even though he already practiced earlier with Gasquet.) After the practice was done, the people practically mobbed Nadal and he had to make a run for it.

Safin only beat Federer ones when he played good ( the 2005 Australian open ) yes I said good not his best and the other loss was like in 2002 or something you do realise that their h2h is 7-2 in Federer's favour right ?:|

Federer won 3 out of the last 4 slams at that time. You don't say thats his best?

Clement is a good player, but he just doesn't have the weapons to defeat the other players in this poll, and certainly not Federer (not sure how he beat Nadal, but Nadal wasn't really at his best then). He can be hot one week and win a tournament like Legg Mason, but he has no chance to win a Masters Series tourney, even if Federer and Nadal aren't present or lose early. Same goes for Andy Murray.

I would have to say either Hewitt or Ljubicic, given how both are terrific Masters Series event players. Hewitt gets the edge because he is mentally tougher.

This has nothing to do with the fact that he won 3 out of the 4 slams, cause when I read your post I get the feeling that you think that Federer always plays his best tennis, in each match that's not how it works in tennis you should know that their are always ups and downs (your man Safin is a great example). How is Federer suppose to play his best when he got blisters ?

I expect Blake & Ljubicic to go deep in the tourney. Still very tough to bet against either Fed & Rafa.

Well credit to Safin that Federer really did play his best or very close to his best in that match at Australia in 2005. That's why we saw such a titantic and entertaining battle.
