babolat sfx allcourt - synthetic grass?

Hi guys, im new to this forum so apologies if this has been asked already...

im currently injured (again) and am looking for new shoes for my return in a couple of months. My club has hardcourts (for which i have adequate shoes) but also synthetic grass/astro turf with a fair amount of sand on. These courts play pretty well for most hardcourt shoes in the dry summer but as its getting a little damp here through winter in england they can become a little slippy. Theres currentlyan offer on babolat sfx allcourt shoes near me and i wondered if any of u guys have used these on the mentioned surface and if theyre good for it? I really like the look of them and the reviews ive read of the comfort etc seem really positive so any opinions on this shoe and synth grass would be appreciated, thanks

ive never played on that omni style with SFX. I can say i love them and played on clay recently and those SFX were great.

I havent played on the SFX, but I tried the Drive 3 and one of the worst shoes I've had and I could only play with them for 5 hours before throwing them away...I guess that it depends on your level, the SFX from what I have seen are a much better shoe with better durability and comfort than the Drive 3.

In terms of outsole profile for a sandy astro turf; I would recommend any shoe with specific omni outsole, but if its really sandy I also tried natural grass outsole on them and you really need strong legs because of the grip and be carefull with the ankles...

Thanks for the speedy help on this. Yea ive looked into the drive 3s a little more & not too keen on them. I play at a fairly decent level, mostly on the hard courts but just throught the autumn/winter i'll be transfering over to the synth courts. I just wanted a cheap shoe through the winter that'll soon get wrecked so hence i was looking at the sfx (currently selling off the stock near me and im lucky enough to have size 11.5 feet that are in stock still).

Just to decide on colour scheme now! I love the red ones but as im just out my twenties, i may have to opt for the black ones with yellow!

Hi I have the exact same shoes and I do not really like it because the upper part of the shoes feels hard and doesn't mold onto my feet well. It also has such poor ventilation system.

I'm thinking of getting Asics GEL Dedicate 4 Omni as they are going for £44 online. I prefer omni shoes for omni courts as their grip on the court lasts longer and Asics shoes for some reason feel so comfortable.

I also bought them from SD ;). I play on sandy astro's. Rarely slip, superb durability, comfortable. Some people complaining about ventilation but I live in the UK and it rarely gets hot. I did play in croatia/bosnia when it was around 35 degrees and didn't notice too many problems with my feet. They were going for £28 on SD and bought a few more.

Aretium- you have also seen these on 'that' website lol. i think im just gonna get a pair, see how they go (once my ankle finally heals) and go from there. Are they generally a half size bigger than normal shoes in the uk also i.e. im an 11 1/2 usually so buy an 11? Just as in that particular shop they dont have any in stock so u have to order it from the website...

I'd get 11. I got size 11 and they are fine. Best shoes I have ever worn. The insoles do go after a month or two but I wear special insoles anyway.

Hi guys- i bought the red sfx but as i said on another post, not sure theu suit me so going to get some different coloured ones (theyre dirt cheap at the min).

Does anyone know what the difference is between sfx all court and sfx team all court? You can get the white, blue and red ones in sfx all court but the black and yellow ones which look identical, state theyre call sfx team all court? Any differences?
