I'm about to do a little test.
Which CoPoly will work best in a nat gut- CoPoly hybrid, where the natty gut is always in the mains
I have 2 sets of Luxilon Alu Power ROUGH 1.25, 2 sets of Luxilon Adrenaline 1.20 smooth, 2 sets of Signum Pro Hyperion 1.18 smooth and 2 sets of Signum Pro Tornado 1.17 twisted & edged copoly.
I use Babolat VS team 17 natty gut in the mains in all tests.
The test will take some time - I only play 4 hours a week currently.
What do you think will perform best in the racquets I plan to use:
Babolat Pure Storm Tour GT 98 SQ" 16X20 and Wilson BLX 95 SQ" 6.1 18X20
I've always favored a smooth thicker copoly as cross string in a nat gut hybrid, but now I will experiment a bit with one racquet with each setup in and see how it performs.
I wonder if the thinner smooth 1.18/1.20 copoly will outperfrom the thicker 1.25 Rough in the spin department or not ?
What do you think - take a guess 8)
