best dampener for babolat

Hey all. I was wondering what would be the best dampener for a babolat pure storm? Right now i have the pete sampras damp. I was leaning towards a rubber band or RVS. I just want to know what would be the best. Thanks!

Why do you not like the sampras damner.?? I heard that Gamma ones are pretty good.

Well it's been about 4 months since i've hit with my new storm racket because of the weather.:evil: I've only hit once with it for a short period of time. I think i felt a lot of shock going into my arm and my racket would shake after the ball being struck,(or possibly by my follow through or wrong tension.) Just not sure. And thanks.

Well you can try a rubberband dampener, that's what I use. The gamma shockbusters are pretty good too. Their the worm looking ones.

Anyways if you racquet shakes to much, I think it doesn't have alot of stability. If you want try adding lead tape to the 3 & 9 position to add stability to the racquet.

Try the RVS, works for me. There are some possible downsides though, do a search and you'll find the links.

I would not use the rvs, my friend had one and it moves up into the strings after 2 hits which defeats its purpose of dampening the frame. It works fine as a normal dampener though!

The Babolat custom damp works great, it doesnt move and looks great.

I guess they are, since you are able to fit the center piece of the Babolat (the one that makes it custom) in to a Sampras dampener

All Babolats need damps. It's the annoying ping sound that needs getting rid of.

Those O damps wil fall of when you hit it, but rubberbands never fall off.

I'm just wondering, can you really tell the difference between damps? I've used the Head one that comes with the fxp's, the Wilson W, a babolat dampener, and the sampras O's. I can't tell the difference. Can you really tell the difference? I just thought it was interesting if you could.

yep, get a bag of a few hundred and stick em in your tennis bag....that way you can hand them out to all your friends when their press in damps come flying out during play....

I had 2 of the "0" damps, they were good but the damn things kept flyin off, so now I have nothing. Just upped to the PD Cortex and I dont feel u need one for it so its coolio : )
