In my opinion 2007 Montreal Final was best match between Fedovic in terms of quality.
IW 2014&2015 were qualty matches as well. Just as 2007 Dubai.

Craziest, most entertaining and probably most dramatic was Toronto 2010. Kudos to Djoker for fighting spirit. That match should of been over in two easy sets. 2018 Paris was heartbreaker.

That 2014 IW final was fantastic from both. It's more recent in my mind than some of the others, so I can't say with certainty it's the best, but it's definitely up there.

Both had something to prove: Fed had just comeback from his dire 2013 season and Djokovic had just been dethroned by Wawrinka at the AO after being dethroned in the rankings by Nadal the previous year. Federer had upset Djokovic in the Dubai SF, but this was a masters final and so the stakes were higher.

And it came down to the wire: 99 points for Djokovic and 98 points for Federer. And a 3rd set tiebreaker, after splitting the first 2 sets 3-6 and 6-3. Great stuff from both players

Very disappointing tie break from Federer though.

True, wasn't great, but I felt that he did well to keep the match as competitive given the context of both players coming in. Certainly closer than their final the following year
Well, that's without doubt. Their IW 2015 match was low quality. Federer not having the stamina to beat a version of Djokovic who hits 3 double faults at a tie break was really sad to watch.

As for the poll, I'd say Montreal 2007 takes it.

Have they never played a good 3 setter at ATP Finals? That surprises me, since they’re both so good there.

What about Nadal losing 8 straight games to a version of Djokovic who double faulted on BP three times? Did Nadal suck out there?

Honestly think 2018 Paris was one of their best encounters
It was a such a weird match with Fed saving all of his BPs, actually breaking Novak to win his set but losing both tiebreaks. (Bit of a Wimbledon precursor, actually :()

Fed was still playing through his hand issue and not hitting at full power while Novak was fighting through a cold. Neither guy was at 100% but still produced one of the best matches of that year. Pure tension for 2+ hours.

Considered...think 2008 was more humiliating but 2011 was more humbling (bruised Rog's ego & showed him Novak was no fluke/his time on the couch was up)...overall I'm going with 2011 for tennis & spiritual reasons
Spiritual reasons? Consider me interested. What do you mean?
