Comparing the # of big matches (Grand Slam, World Tour Finals, and Tennis Masters Series) won by Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic since the big 3 started in 2008 as of 4th Round Miami:

Federer - 127, 18, 135 = 280
Nadal - 121, 9, 178 = 308
Djokovic - 129, 19, 176 = 324

Big Titles

Federer - 5, 2, 7 = 14
Nadal - 10, 0, 17 = 27
Djokovic - 6, 3, 15 = 24

I think this shows how much Federer has put himself into position to win the big tournaments but hasn't come through. Also, shows how efficent Nadal has been at winning the big tournaments.

One of Fed's more impressive accomplishments to me, to keep putting himself in position and knocking on the door even after being surpassed by Nadal, then Djokovic.

I think another interesting breakdown would be to separate 2008-10 & 2011-present to see how much Novak's ascension affected things because prior to that it was still Federer and Nadal, just a different order.

Obviously, Federer won 4 slams and made at least twice as many finals. Contrast that with one slam and two finals since the start of 2011. And of course it is a combo of that and his own decline with age.

Thats the Only thing Fed accomplished in the last 7-8 years...He is not the best in the world but consistent enough to win titles when the best is injured.
He is the FERRER with a D
