Biggest remaining career goals of Federer and Nadal

What do you think are the biggest remaining goals of Federer and Nadal?

Like, when he is training, do you think Federer is thinking of one day defeating Nadal at the French Open or winning the 2016 Olympics or winning Davis Cup?

Nadal's biggest remaining career goals must be trickier. I can not imagine him training with focusing on one day winning the ATP World Tour finals. He can't really train with winning 18 grand slams in mind, as Federer may win another Grand Slam or two (you never know).

Federer just wants to win Wimbledon...over and over.

Nadal probably wants to stay healthy and keep winning slams.

Nadal's goal is to win the WTF to get the monkey of his back. Winning more slams to catch Roger, improve his ranking stats.

Federer doesn't have the focus and drive like Nadal since he's accomplished so much and anything that he win is a bonus. Although if he ever win another title, Wimbledon is his first choice.

Neither think so objectively, obviously. They just want to win everything.

But as a spectator, I think Fed simply wants one more major title. Doesn't matter if it's in France vs. Nadal or Australia vs. an injured Tomic. He wants one more.

For Nadal, the WTF has got to be at the top of the list. A few non-clay majors would be lovely, but he's still at the point where he simply wants to win everything, all the time.

Their ultimate goals are the same, IMO. To win slams.

Sure there are a handful of accomplishments they don't have (WTF for Nadal, Davis Cup and singles gold for Federer, etc.), but all of those pale in comparison to adding another major or majors to your resume. So, I'm sure they'd love to fill those holes, but as goals, they are still secondary to winning majors as always.

make more money whilst getting mad applause from fans... and if they can win whilst doing that, all the better, no?

Nadal: Get WTF, get second AO, get to 10 RG.
Djokovic: Get RG.

Federer's a bit trickier. He's sort of done everything already.

Roger's Priorities should be

1/ Winning Wimbledon 1 more time to hold the absolute all time record

2/ Winning Monte Carlo and Rome - to complete the Masters 1000 9 distinct tournament wins ie masters 1000 slam.

Roger's priorities should be to win Wimbledon again and to win other Slams again if possible... completing the 9 1000's is not so important and better would be to win another YEC.

For Rafa I think he should try win Miami, Bercy, Shanghai, and the WTF. Another AO would be good, but he seems to have been cursed there.

On account of his winning everything else last year and his odd inability to defend HC titles, if he doesn't win in Miami, he might not win anything on HC this year.

I'm sure VLJB will be happy to hear my prediction, even if it turns out to be wrong.

He already won the Shangai slot
