Recently demoed the NXG mid. When I hit the sweet spot, my backhand was like a laser.

Actually, I like my current more control DB MP for my backhand. I can place the ball anywhere with it.

Though, I haven't ventured into customizing racquets yet, so I'm sure I'm missing out on something really good. I do like the feel of a heavier frame.

Ah an 2hander playing with a mid. I'm thinking of demo the POG mid but the handle on it looks so short. Did you have that problem with the NXG mid?

Didn't notice anything about it feeling short, but I don't have the largest hands in the world.

Would say give it a try though. It's great to feel that the racquet is backing you up with the extra weight. And you can swing as hard as you please. I was landing my down the line backhands within two feet of the baseline every time, with only a couple feet of net clearance, too.

OP,

I second you on the POG LB! Though I didn't cut mine down and added only a little lead and kept the balance the same as stock. Monstrous topspin! Almost too much for my taste...

So I cut a Head Tour Extra Long down to 27.5, CAPped it, and added enough lead under the grip to make it approximately 2 pt. HL & 12.1 oz. Might like it a bit more HL, but this thing just pummels the ball! Great for flat, topspin and a very nice slice as well.

Sounds like a baseline weapon! Although I found 5-6 pts HL to be optimum for my baseline game. Try add a bit more lead under the grip and see how it plays.:)

prince o3 hybrid tour. my two handed backhand got so much better and is my favourite shot to hit now. the racquet allows for MASSIVE head speed.

I am a onehander now but occasionally play twohanded, just for fun, when I was young I learned the twohanded technique, then switched.

Best racquets for twohanders IMO

Yes, POGOS was born and bred for 2handers.

yonex rds001 mid, stock frame, natural gut/poly hybrid. mid for control, gut for power, poly for spin!

POG OS or POG LB
Both are great in their own way. The POG OS is a better doubles racquet, but the LB is my all time best racquet to crush a backhand with.
