Can anyone stop Sinner from winning the CYGS in 2024?

Sinner has peaked in the last few months and that begs the question: Can Alcaraz and Djokovic stop him at RG and Wimbledon?

Karl should be winning RG this year but Sinner is not to be underestimated on clay.

If Alcaraz can't stop him in Paris, the CYGS is sealed for the Sinner for sure.

Thoughts?

TTW hyperbole in full force. Sinner has one for the year and has good confidence coming off the end of last year, but now has to deal with becoming a favorite and all the hype and such pulling a player so many different ways. That will be new and similar to Alcz last year. And there are PLENTY of young, talented, 'any-given-day' players out there to have to beat.

yes hes gonna win CYGS this year, you can bet your house on it, trust me
I'm considering it tbh. Betting on the Sinner these days is profitable no doubt.

But getting serious here...both Sinner and Alcaraz have the game to win in all slams. Interesting to see how quickly they both complete the career slam

All-aboard! The Hype Train will be departing soon.

Old Rafa will be a big block at RG, if he is fit or nearly fit. Sinner could do well on grass, but on clay he could be in danger against a decent topsinner. Sinner is good, but today he was lucky, that Med could not expose his nervousness and close it out. Med is a head case, he is resilient, when behind, but when he gets a real chance to win the whole thing, he blows it.

I don’t think today was headcase Med tho. Boy packed a couple of slams worth of tennis into the last few matches. He was ripe.

He was like a rocket in the sky - fast take off, but ran out of fuel and fell back to earth.

Surprised he could hang so well for 5 sets.

In the entire history of the ATP no player has won the slam after their first slam win. So he may not even win the French, let alone the other two.

there’s too much competition for him to win a CYGS. Pre Sinner emergence, Djokovic was only one capable of CYGS.

Sinner will be much harder for nadal than alcaraz at FO. In 2020 at RG baby sinner for 2 sets was out playing rafa, i think he was a break up in both sets.
What sinner may struggle with is the crowd as id think this year the parisians will be raucous for both rafa and novak now the reality has dawned a new era has begun.
Sinners next two events will tell us alot. Is he going to dominate, or have a slump after his maiden slam for a few months after the euphoria leaves him a biit flat once it goes.

How can any odd be great for CYGS. Nole couldn't do it and Roger couldn't do it. Sinner has 0 chance in 2024
I may have misread his bet. I thought he meant 13/1 to win Wimbledon and a separate bet of 13/1 to win the USO. He wouldn't get odds that good right now; maybe 10/1 to win Wimbledon and 4/1 to win the USO.

Yeah, agreed. There's no chance of a CYGS.

He's 4/1 to win Wimbledon. There's not seriously a Sinner can't play on grass theory about is there? Last year it was all about Alcaraz being unable to play on grass, so I guess anything is possible....

He'll win RG and W with ease, then lose the USO slam final to Medvedev - We've seen this before.
