Forget Djokovic, Federer, Nadal, or Sampras! And definitely forget the overhyped Alcaraz (who?)
The undisputed GOAT of tennis will be Jannik Sinner!! He completely thrashed a really well-playing, nearly-prime Djokovic at his own backyard!
And before haters say anything, I don't understand why the heck so many people are saying that Djokovic played "really badly" or that he is a "weak old man". He was playing as well as ever. I rewatched the match carefully multiple times and I genuinely thought that he showed no signs of decline. I seriously didn't spot too much difference between the level of performance shown by him today and back in 2011 semi-final. The key difference was the quality of opposition, because obviously 2024 Sinner >>>> 2011 Federer.
Besides, this is TTW, where the majority of people are supposed to be anti-Djokovic, so why on Earth are even the people who dislike Djokovic here saying that he played poorly?! Guys, are you sure you are really anti-Djokovic? Use your eyes for once and see the match! This is prime Djokovic! But even pre-prime Sinner is just on another level.
Henceforth, I declare that I am no longer a Djokovic fan! The guy is finished for good, and he will never win another Slam, because everywhere he goes, Sinner will now humiliate him. Nole better hang up his racket and go back home with his pathetic 24 Slams, while Sinner is gonna rack up 30+ of them! Now, my favourite player is Sinner!
Sinner is definitely winning the AO this year! I dare anyone stop Sinner from conquering this tournament, especially not his pigeon Meddy! Heck, even 2021 Federer has a much better chance of beating 2008 Nadal at RG than Medvedev has at beating Sinner on Sunday!
All hail the Italian GOAT!

A lot of players would have beat Djokovic today, as he said, as gracious he is in defeat, It was his worst playing match at a slam, not to take from sinner Who is in unbelievable form, but you cant call overhyped a player that has two slams and is two years younger than sinner and hype sinner who is just starting to find his maturity, sorry but you cant have it both ways and expect to be taken half seriously.

2024 Sinner >> 2006 Federer already

So you consider 2011 Federer, world #2 and 16 time GS champion, to be among "a lot of players"? LOL Just to let you know, Djokovic thrashed Federer in straights in the 2011 AO semi-final. But he could not do the same to Sinner.

What has todays Djokovic got to do with 2011 Djokovic? Im talking about today, two first sets he Could barely move, he was awfully slow, i believe med, shasha, even Alcaraz could have beat him today, but im not gonna speculate any further, he had a really off day, and sinner is firing, im just interested how the season is gonna unfold, but i wouldnt expect a total domination by sinner, It will be dificult to keep this form forever, theres always gonna be ups and downs

HOW could you disrespect the future 30+ Grand Slam champion and the absolute undisputed GOAT of tennis?!! I guarantee, Sinner is winning the Calendar Slam this year.

At Sinner's age, Nadal had already won 5 Slams. Too late for him.

Also, is he even a factor at RG?

At Sinner's age, Nadal was playing nowhere near at Sinner's level, except for at 2008 Roland Garros. 2024 Sinner >>>> 2008 Federer, whom Nadal just barely beat on grass, despite his massive match-up and mental advantage.
2024 Sinner vs 2008 Nadal anywhere except for Clay would end in a demolition in favour of Sinner.

2011 Djokovic at AO ~ 2007 Federer at AO > 2009 Nadal at AO

From an objective standpoint, Djokovic has not declined at all compared to 2011. He has a better serve, better volleys, better tactics and stronger forehands nowadays. He only declined in speed and stamina, and even then, by not a large margin. Even the expert knowledgeable tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou said that Djokovic of today is a better player than he was in 2011/2015. Moreover, tennis as a sport has constantly been evolving over time.

Hence, we can conclude that 2024 Djokovic at AO ≥ 2011 Djokovic at AO (from an objective point of view, whether you like it or not)

2024 Sinner >>> 2024 Djokovic at AO

Hence, 2024 Sinner surpasses all the Big Three at their peak at the AO.

Sinner didn't make a semi at AO before this AO , he's improving very fast and success can do wonders to him. He can play on clay, he got a baseline game , it's not as if he's Sampras like SNV player who can't play on clay.

Yes, finally on his 100th try gets a win over a nearly 40 year old GOAT contender, which he still nearly choked away, and now he is the future GOAT. peak Tennis Warehouse.

Sinner has beaten raz and med convincingly multiple times. He now gave a healthy Novak probably the worst beating at the Australian open since Fed crushed him in straights at the 2007 aus open. Game wise it points to sinner becoming dominant, but we will have to see how he handles med as a first time finalist.

You gotta make it at least a little believable, man. If you’re too ridiculous, people don’t bite. The best trolling is subtle, just out there enough to seem like a genuine opinion, like the poster is someone who can be reasoned with.

The crazy things about these threads is I was saying last year give Sinner time as he was 21/22 and had loads of time.

Now he is the man in form people are crowning him future goat forgetting Carlos is only 20 and has two slams now people are saying he is overrated.

I wonder what the thread where’s like about a 21 year old Fed ? Or 22 year old Djokovic

I know (or at least hope) that this is a joke, but with TTW you never know with the overreaction on the last result. Last year Alcaraz barely beat Djok in a five set final and was praised as the future slam leader, well we saw how that turned out.
Sinner has beaten Djoko at his pet slam kudos to that, but he still hasn't won a slam himself, so hyping him is completely ridiculous (he is already 22 on top of that).
I would not be surprised at all, if Djokovic still beat him in their next encounters.

Barely beating Djokovic would be incorrect. That can only really apply to matches like Wimbledon 19 final. Last year's match was similar to the 2014 final if anything.

As far as how it has turned out goes, he's had a six month slump compared to his standards, and has made a QF in his first real appearance at the AO as a top player this time.

I wouldn't worry about extreme speculations about these kids and enjoy what they have in store as their careers unfold.

Barely word gets used to push agenda. Alcaraz was better in almost all metrics and had almost double winners ( Djokovic has like 36) had more bps, 20 more returns made , was a better player off ground . stats should be even more ugly if one sided first set is excluded. Alcaraz will improve since he's only 20.

Sinner could be a future GOAT and prides himself by saying my game and Djokovic's are very similar.

I hope the usual suspects begin the muh overhyped whining as Jannik is now being discussed in the potential GOAT conversation.

Probably won't.

Yes, Djokovic made 54 unforced errors. Prime stuff. But ok, you're clearly joking.
