I booked an Air bnb for Cincy tourney in August to go see my first pro tennis action in person with my family! I went to their website and I noticed many of the ticket packages are sold out. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to make the most of this trip? Will I just be able to buy general grounds pass at some point which will get me into the non-feature matches not on center court?

thanks, yes I’m signed up for the pre-sale. I guess I’ll find out what the options are when that opens. I’m hoping there is a flexible option where we could go to any court? I don’t want to break the bank with great seats to one session

Single Session tickets give you a reserved seat at Center Court, full access to the tournament grounds, including every match and practice court, a public parking lot, the opportunity to enjoy a variety of on-site entertainment, and the ability to explore our many dining and drink options.

You can use this ticket to view any match on any court at any time with general admission seating. It simply gives you a reserved seat on Center Court if that's the match you want to watch. Same way a ticket to Arthur Ashe stadium works at the US Open. If I remember correctly, last time we went it was $75 or so per ticket for the day session during the first two rounds.

Awesome thanks! Is there an option if you don’t want a seat reserved on center court, to still get access to everything else?

Why would you not want to be on Center court?

That is where they often (not always) have the best matchups. There isn't a bad seat in the house so the idea is to just get a ticket on Center court if that helps.

I guess I’m thinking that the earlier round matchups on center court aren’t usually very competitive and it gets pricey for a family of 5! I’d rather save the $ and get closer to the action on some of the outer courts and see more competitive matches. We will be there for 3 days, so maybe I’ll do center court for one of the night sessions

Found this on their website.

Note: A “grounds pass” ticket does not provide a seat on Center Court, but does allow you access to the other courts. Grounds passes become available once Center Court and Grandstand Courts are sold out for a session.)

Yes that is correct a grounds pass is just that. A grounds pass. As far as rounds I leave it to you but I prefer it when the draw is more full than less.

Just so you know from the site's FAQ on grounds passes - you can only purchase them on site the day of the session you want to attend.

GROUNDS PASSES
Grounds passes only become available to purchase on-site the day of the session once Center Court and Grandstand Courts are sold out for a session and are available in a limited quantity due to site capacity.
A grounds pass is a ticket that allows the holder to enter the Lindner Family Tennis Center and gain access to all public areas of the grounds EXCEPT for Center Court. All other match and practice courts have open (non-assigned) seating that a grounds pass holder is permitted to occupy. In order to sit in Center Court, a regular ticket with a Center Court seat assignment must be purchased.
A grounds pass is not needed in addition to a regular Center Court ticket. Access to all other courts and public areas of the grounds is included with a regular Center Court ticket.

Last year when we went, ground passes sold out really fast.
We've gone a few years in a row with Tickets for Mon/Tuesday--both day and night sessions for Center Court

We spent probably 80-90% of our time on the side courts. With that in mind we bought the upper deck tickets for Center Court.
We saw Alcaraz, Murray, Stan, Serena, Radacanu on Center court. When really crowded with had to sit up top. But, we lucked out that Alcaraz's match was brought out pretty late, so we moved closer to the action as the night went on.

On the side courts, its amazing how close you can get to the players.

Seems single session tickets are selling at higher prices and selling out quick compared to earlier years.

Thank you, great info. Do you have to get there early to have a chance for a grounds pass or how does that work? It’s just not worth the gamble so it’s better to buy the center court seat it sounds like. Are tickets from third party site (StubHub etc) easy to come by if I wait until the last minute?

I remember the first year we went, we got there early to get in when the gates opened. It was already busy and people were saying the ground passes for the day were sold. So to me it is a gamble, and looking at tickets now makes me wonder if it is going to be a busy Cincy this year.

I think what opens op stubhub tickets is how the draw goes and what the weather looks like. So if Alcaraz is scheduled to play Nadal Tuesday night, it will be slim pickings. on the other hand Alcaraz was scheduled to play Nadal, but Nadal then had to cancel due to injury tickets will pop up.

We got to Cincy earlier than expected on Sunday and picked up some stubhub tickets. They were a little cheaper at last minute but there weren't a lot of them.

I think it's going to be a busy year. I'll attending Cincy this year for the first time. A stadium ticket, even the least expensive ticket, will at least guarantee you access to the grounds. That being said, I missed the pre-sale and the least expensive stadium ticket I found was $94 without taxes and fees. That's a seat at the very top row of the stadium.
