Andy Roddick, James Blake along with the Brians will be looking for a spot in the Davis Cup finals weither against the Germans or the Russians. Predictions please. Personally i think that this year is the US year, also if ever the Russians and the US team qualifies for the finals the US would host the finals.

I think the US Davis Cup will win this year. Russia has a lot of depth while Germany only has one good player in Haas.

I agree, but I think if they play the Russians again it will an interestting tie no matter the surface.

Dont' count out the swedish team just yet. They have been known to come alive in davis cup competition. and i saw on the website, they have been practicing on the roof of the stadium to get that winning feeling.;)

Since Russia beat Germany the finals will be held in the USA. The host USA city has not been determined. I know Winston-Salem and Portland are contenders. Not sure of the other 2-3 cities being considered. Anyone shed some light?

How do you know Winston-Salem and Portland are contenders? You've shed more light than I've been able to find...Winston-Salem would be GREAT!!!

Its down to Portland and Winston Salem. Oklahoma City and San Diego have been eliminated.

Joel Coliseum on the campus of Wake Forest University was the site when the U.S. beat Spain in the quarterfinals in April. I was told by a USTA official that it was the fastest sell out ever for a USA host Davis Cup event and I am sure the crowd of 17k+ impressed the USTA officials. I was there and the place was rockin.
