If you replace the grip with just two overgrips, you won't get the benefit of shock absorption that it provides so the shock you get will be largely unattenuated, hence a much harsher feel. In addition, the bevels are going to be much more pronounced, which might lead to blisters on your hand.zhan said:Whats the disadvantage of using 2 overgrips rather than the standard overgrip + replacement grip...

If you're going to go ahead with this, use three overgrips at least.
Not necessarily but arm fatigue will set in more quickly. A tired arm could lead to lapses in your technique, which in turn could lead to arm and elbow injuries.zhan said:is the more shock gonna cause bad side effects like TE?

Now, if you can hit the sweetspot consistently, the amount and frequency of shock that you will experience will be greatly reduced. You get those shocks on mishits so hitting the node is crucial.

I buy about 30 overgrips at a time and the price is the same for about 17 overgrips as one leather grip.tennis_hand said:it lasts longer too. the price of changing 3 over-grips is almost equal to change 1 replacement grip.
