Looking at the specs for both racquets the ezone 100 and the vcore 100, they both seem very similar. I know the vcore has not yet made it into people's hands, but wondering what you think will be the difference?
I think the initial difference you can say is that the ezone has a bit thicker beam than the vcore so it probably has more power and perhaps different flex points due to the graphite. But this is only a general guess.
I have not used the ezone but have hit with the vcore 100s for 6 hours now (or 3 sessions). I can only compare to the apdgt i previously used for the last 9 months. The vcore swings a lot lighter, sweetspot feels bigger, serves a lot better for me and and slices a lot better (apdgt floats the ball a lot). I chose this racket since spec wise it is the same as the apd (300g, 32cm balance, 16/19, 100 sq inch).
Ezone 100:
Very easy to use. Even though the stiffness rating is high, it is very soft on impact. The sweet spot is huge. Almost feels like the entire string bed is the sweet spot. The down side is since the entire string bed feels like a sweet spot, you can't get a good feel of where on the string bed you are hitting. More power than VCore 100.
VCore 100:
Very stiff throat. Plays much stiffer than Ezone 100. Similar to APDGT but you need to dial your shots in. VCore has a distinctive sweet spot feel unlike the Ezone. Less power than Ezone but more spin potential.
Picked up the Vcore 100S and was pleasantly surprised by it. Hits a solid ball and I can really serve great with it. Easy to play with. The stiffness isnt an issue but my preference would be less stiff frame. I'll give the Ezone a try.
