He looks like he's lost a bit of weight while at Halle. I think he should be at 185. 194 is too much for a 6' 1" tennis player

IMO 5'11" 160 lbs is a bit lanky even for a tennis player. Rafa and Blake both have good builds for a tennis player. They're also two of the fastest guys in the ATP. Rafa isn't carrying that much mass, either, since he really only has a muscular left arm and not much bulk anywhere else.

Subtracting 6 lbs for each 1" above 5'11" (that's the average that each inch increases in weight), you have 5'11" 176 lbs and 5'11" 171 lbs. I'd say that 170-175 is more around the ideal weight for that height (at least for a tennis player).

But you can't really make a perfect height to weight ratio, since that depends so much on bone structure and whatnot. Some people have broad shoulder girdles, large joints, etc. which can really increase weight.

194lbs, are you serious? Thats insane, I'm 196cm tall (6 foot 4 and growing) and weigh 187lbs, there can be no way im lighter than Federer, theres just no way!

Dude, you're really thin. Sometimes people are delusional about their own appearance. 6'4" 187 is really thin unless you're a bird and have hollow bones.

I am 6'1 and 195. I could lose about 10 pounds. Fed apparently is the same weight and looks very thin compared to me. I would say Fed is probably solid muscle to weigh that much with his build. I think Fed is an ectomorphic whereas I'm more of a mesomorph. If I gain muscle I will bulk out more unlike Fed.
 
Anyone who's seen Fed up close lately knows he's built perfectly for tennis. His shoulders are quite broad, much more than it seems on TV, and his legs are definitely thicker than the average joe's, but not Jonas Bjorkman like tree trunks. Also, he probably hit the weights a bit after his bout with mono to ensure that he was at full strength and then some. I also think he's been trying to add a little more pop to his serve to get some more free points-something he's going to need to do if he plans on playing until he's 35 (as he's said several times he wants to do), so the added muscle is probably part of his long term plan. He moves beautifully and still looks lean. I think as long as he moves well, he'll be fine. Finally, remember that most pro running backs, wide recievers and defensive backs are about the same height as Fed, but are anywhere from 200 to 230 lbs and still move with unbelieveable speed and agility-4.3 to 4.6 40 yard dashes is lightning quick in the world of tennis. Probably only a few tennis pros could match those times. Fed's fine. Of course, maybe it's just the sympathy weight he's experiencing now that Mirka's knocked up:)
