If it wasn’t worth complaining about then it was no biggie for Fed right? Djoker didn’t ask for Fed to be sent to C1. Fed was sent there bc 1) his matchup with Anderson was boring. And it was, the most boring 5 setter I’ve seen. And 2) Fed’s been on CC more than anyone and it was his turn

Well you have tickets to sell to 2 courts.
CC tickets are the most expensive. Objectively the best 2 matches were Djoker-Nishi and Rafa-JMDP. Fed-Anderson was expected to be a servebot fest that Fed would easily win by sprinkling in his dramatically superior ground game. The best matchups got CC.
As expected the Fed-Anderson match was a super dull serve fest. It’s just that Fed left his groundstrokes back at his hotel.

This is the scheduling blunder of the century.
It feels like there was little chance that Federer would have lost had that match been on Center Court. It was so close with Federer have a match point and winning more points overall that every little thing counted in the end — in this case Anderson was familiar with the court, Federer wasn't. Anderson would have been more nervous on Center Court, and the wind might have been a factor. Federer was also likely in a bad mood because they sent their defending champion, No. 1 seed and all-time Wimbeldon great onto a lesser court in favor of a player who is so disliked by the British public they were cheering his time violations.
But organizers (and some commentators) discounted the threat of Anderson. This felt like a danger match with Anderson's serve on this current surface no matter what people said beforehand. So organizers threw a bone to quiet the complaints from Djokovic when everybody knew that was going to be a nothing match that Novak had little chance of losing. An injured Nishikori on grass isn't much of a threat even to this Djokovic. (They also screwed up by not moving an earlier match from Nadal and Federer to Court No. 1 if they worried about fairness — the Sela and Lacko matches could easily have been sent to Court 1 and Novak could get at least one more Center Court appearance.)
And now not only is Federer paying the price, but so are tennis fans (other than hardcore Nadal and Djokovic fans) and the tournament itself. They had the chance for a final (in addition to the semifinal) featuring a pair of all-time greats — the tantalizing prospect of a 10th anniversary rematch with Nadal or the first Fed-Djokovic match since their injury breaks. Instead, we get a semifinal with two servebots and a final in which someone who's servebotted their way to the final is most likely going to get extremely tense and nervous, be broken right away and hand the match to Nadal or Djokovic (see repeat of that dreadful 2017 U.S. Open). Even if the servebot plays well, it's still going to lack in quality and star power. It will be even worse than Cilic and his foot blisters, I suspect.
The organizers of Wimbledon should be ashamed of themselves. The state of the grass needs serious thought for next year. The courts have been atrocious and not playing like traditional grass. Perhaps they need to keep Center Court off-limits the first week and let there be actual grass for the big matches. Protect it from the sun with the roof so it's not dead and dried out as global warming worsens. Then Djokovic can complain about not being able to play on Court 1.
And as far as that horrible scheduling decision? In the good old days, someone could face summary execution for that stupidity. Nowadays, it's a metaphorical off with their head, though. But in the end someone must pay for ruining this Wimbledon.

I was thinking similarly. The organizers took the old man for granted. It looked like they wanted to have the 10-year rematch. By keeping Nadal in CC, they thought he'd have a better chance to win (came true, even though he narrowly won), and since Fed is so good on grass they figured he'd win easily even in different conditions (didn't come true, as seen). It's like they think he's untouchable and isn't affected by external factors. And they forgot that he's almost 37 too? Seems that way.
Ticket sales for a Federer QF/SF/F are likely part of this decision too. Well, they definitely missed the forest for the trees.

Maybe this shows them nobody is bigger than the sport. Or do they plan on milking Fed for eternity? What are they going to do 5, 10 years down the line? Wheel Fed in from the nursing home and put him at Centre against an out of retirement David Ferrer?

I don't want Wimbledon organizers to schedule Federer on Center Court to protect him from upset. I want them to schedule him there because he's the No. 1 seed, defending champion, eight-time winner, the most popular player in the world and a bigger ticket draw. Additionally, Anderson is more dangerous on grass than an oft-injured Nishikori. Djokovic's inferiority complex shouldn't come into play, but these Brits let politeness be the death of them.
Wimbledon obviously wanted Federer in the final. Anybody could see that would help with tickets, ratings and prestige. But they took the champ for granted that he would win and their boneheaded move cost him the match and us a compelling final. So they are the author of their own misfortune, and ours as well.

All this Fed should have played on Cc and would have won. Did he not lose to Berdych, Tsonga, Stakhovsky on CC when he lost pre semis in previous years?
