Did anyone else notice that during the Wimbledon trophy ceremony, Federer was wearing his trousers the wrong way round!!!

If Federer wears specially designed suit for Wimbledon and Nadal has unique style of outfit, I guess next generation pro will even wear tux to play tennis...

Personally i never even noticed it. I still think its ******** that he even wears the white trousers and blazer on the court. If he lost the match against Nadal would he have wore that outfit during the awards ceremony?

yea they'll warm up in tux's and then once its match time they rip it off and pull the pants off like those basketball pants with buttons on the side

The pants are actually basically track pants - the kind that button up the side. It's not like he had to zip them up or anything. An honest mistake, albeit a pretty funny one.

I remember once Sampras wore his shorts inside-out during a match at the US Open I thinks. I think he only noticed when he tried reaching into his back pocket for his string savers and went WTF?

Err... Sampras didn't put the 2nd ball into his shorts' pocket?

I did remember once he changed his top, a lady fan saw the hair on his chest and she screamed out loud. I wonder if he'd changed his shorts what those lady fans would do... riot?

But seriously, if you notice at the end of the match: he fell to the ground, cried, celebrated and then sat on his chair and immediately pulled the pants out of his bag to start wearing them. It's just a mistake in the heat of the moment.

I thinik this is just the model and he is therefore wearing it correct. We should look at the bags if we want to be sure.

This thread had me laughing good. Thanks for the photos.

There is a possibility - although slight - that Federer is not anatomically correct - which may explain the pants.
After all, they are custom made, right?

That being said, I don't like the jacket and pants. I know the idea is to bring back the 'classic look' of the past, which is not a bad idea.
But it just comes off as being rather artificial. If it were Federer's independent idea, it would be much better. But it reeks of Nike marketing.
Also, it removes from the spontaneity. After winning his fifth consecutive Wimbledon, who's thoughts would turn to their wardrobe? Even among women, only the overly pretentious and superficial would think of such an unimportant thing at such an important time.

hahha . I just watched the presentation again. After Fed recieved his trophey he went back to stand next to nadal, then he suddenly realised his pants were on backwards, and he tried to pull his shirt down over the front of his pants, hahha. Hilarious.

Give the poor guy a break! He just won his 5th straight Wimbledon title in a tough 5 set match which he could have easily lost, and matched the great Bjorn Borg's seemingly unbreakable record. Then he only had a few seconds to get his whole outfit on, including the vest and the jacket, so it's totally understandable that he pulled the pants on backwards. I mean at that moment I think the LAST THING on his mind was whether or not he had his track pants on backwards or not.
