I'm talking about the rise of Russian tennis here. Back in the 2000s, so many Russian female players emerged and started winning a lot of titles and occupied high rankings in WTA. Now, Russian men's tennis seems to follow the path of their female counterpart. Rublev, Khachanov and Medvedev are 3 promising Russian young guns. They have the physical size and power, and already can take on fully grown opponents and give them good run for the money. It seems they are ready to become the next Safins and Kafelnikovs of Russian tennis. I see potential to be the future no.1 in all of them. With Zverev and Kyrgios, they may form the group of dominant players in the future generation. USA should feel envious and try harder to get back the glory days of 80s and 90s!
