I'll have to disagree with you. In the 2000s, Russian women were coming by the dozen to dominate tennis. East Europeran women to be precise. The primary reason that drove them was the huge money that tennis provides and they had the hunger which girls from western countries didn't have (UK, USA etc.). So they held the rankings, won tournaments, won a lot of prize money. But very few actually won slams, and if so only one or two. (exception is Sharapova who was always different).
If you see their games, it was all similar.. Hit groundstrokes like crazy.

Somehow the same culture with men never followed. In men's tennis, with much more variety and serve being such a factor, never saw the flux of new Russian players. The 3 players you mentioned aren't swarming the ATP tour like girls did

Obviously, the way Russian women did it was different from the way their male counterparts are doing it now. Still, there was a moment when a lot of Russian female tennis players suddenly created a renaissance of Russian tennis. This time it is 3 so far, but I can see these lads doing something similar, if not better, for the Russian tennis. These guys are still young and I get the feeling that they will eventually become top 10 players in not too distant future. It is still very early days, but I see the potential.

Russians have good athletic genes (tall, strong) and poor opportunities for doing well in life. Combine those two with the fact that Tennis is an individual sport that incentivizes via performance translating into direct earnings, I'm not surprised Russians have flocked to the sport.
