Fischer length

I notice on the Fischer racquets I've seen that there's a convex bulge protruding where the butt cap would be. Is this figured as part of the length, so that what Fischer calls a 27.4 inch racquet would in essence play like a 27?

It it's any help the usable length will be slightly less than 27.4 inches. .4" is 10mm or 1cm. Since the usable length is less than 27.4" the usable extra length will be less than .4". Honestly will anything less than 10 mm, say 5-7mm really make any difference?

I wondered the same thing a while ago and measured my Pro Extreme FT. The entire lenth of the racquet is barely even 27.4", so I'm not sure where they come up with that number, and from the very top to the end of the handle (excluding buttcap), the length was just a smidge over 27", maybe 27.125" if that. So in my mind, it's a 27" racquet.

Confirmation from Craig. I can accept a whole inch makes a different but when it's 5-7mm on length don't worry.

My VT98 Pros are 26.8" from butt cap tip bulge to tip. Fischer is 'unusual' that way. Can't argue with the way most of their racquets play though!
