In gonna go out on a MAJOR (alcohol) assisted limb and say it will be an All Williams final, with the Ebony Star taking the title in 3.

Back on Earth I cant see past Serena/Sharapova/Li/Azarenka.

Since she's at least coming off a final in Rome I'll give Li a nod. Though not a very heavy one.

I hope it's something like Li/Williams, instead of the same Sharapova/Azarenka encounter again.

it's possible with serena 5th she will probably face aza in the semis, venus might be on the same side as maria.

must say venus looked lots better than I expected her to (at Rome), but you can see she still looks a bit shaky.

p.s. which one is your "Ebony Star" ::confused:

She did look encouraging, but her first serve % needs to increase, and so does her second serve consistency - she hit some good, deep ones, then would throw in some Radwanksa specials' in. The Azapova's of this world will feast on it all day unless it improves.

Her losses this year are to Radwanska/Stosur/Kerber/Sharapova, who are all top 10 as of today, so its not like she is losing to anybody.

She looks ragged fitness wise sometimes, but has played a lot of 3 setters in her comeback and prevailed in all of them.

But I do think the Williams will enjoy playing with the Bobalat balls for the first time, I think it will help them.

Venus - Her Full Name is Venus Ebony Star Wiliams. :)
Perfect name for her.

Oh and I also agree I would NOT like to see an Azapova final as all their finals this year have been beatdowns.

I am surprised anyone is picking Li after the shameful disgrace of this Sunday.

I'd like to see one of the top girls win it, be it Serena, Sharapova, Azarenka etc. It's nice to see new Major champions every now and then but it's nice to see a dominant champ now and then too.

Or even Schiavone if her 2010 form comes back.

I would like to see Radwanska win, since I think her variety and off speed shots might serve her well on clay if she applied them right....but I think that would be a total longshot as she has never even been to a major SF.

Serena and Sharapova are the favorites clay results wise...and that scares me..the Sharapova part.that is.

I honestly.have no clue...its anybodies guess.

'Rena or 'Pova are 1 & 2 favs, as long as Maria doesn't play Serena at any stage. Serena vs Maria or Aza or Maria vs Aza final will not be especially interesting.

Hoped for matches; Serena vs Li, Serena vs Kvitova.

Any percentages for the top 4 favs like you did with the mens?

btw I see you included everybody in the top 10 but 1  and put Venus instead of Bartoli.

Serena 45%
Sharapova 15%
Azarenka 10%
Stosur 5%
Radwanska 5%
Kvitova 5%
Na 5%
Kerber 5%
All others combined 5%

scootad.

I wouldn't be shocked if someone like Petrova or Kuznetsova makes a run. It's pretty wide open. When Serena and Sharapova have the best clay results leading into the French Open (worst surface for both), you know it's wide open.
