Gaudio destroyed Rafa on clay 4 months before RG 2005

This was Gaudio's last victory over Rafa; they stand at 3-3, with Rafa winning the last 3.

It's interesting because Gaudio had great success with his one handed BH vs Rafa: when this shot was on, he could beat absolutely everybody, even on clay, as we saw vs Coria in the RG 2004.

Novak and Roger didn't have as good BH for clay otherwise they could have resolved the puzzle of Rafa's bread and butter "My high lifted forehand to your backhand".

It also proves someone like Kuerten could too have given Rafa lot of problems at RG.

Djokovic has won against Rafa seven times on clay and once at the FO - nothing wrong with his BH. Federer‘s BH on the other hand…

Well, Rafa can claim that he traded bagels with Guadio so it wasn’t really a destruction of Rafa. Rafa doesn’t do well in humid conditions.

No, it doesn't. And no, he wouldn't.

I mean, it was an away game vs the reigning RG champion in his home turf, that's like several difficulty multipliers.
