Can anyone offer their experience's with this string? I'm looking to try some smooth poly's for a change as I've been playing textured poly's for the last 6 years. I absolutely love Alu Power but simply can't afford to play this string all season long. I just ordered some Pro Line II since it's still on sale and I've always heard good things about it. But I'm also interested in what I've been hearing about Black Magic. I'm looking for a medium powered string that offers good control, good spin potential, constistant playability and good duribility for a co-poly. Like I said... I believe that Alu Power smooth dominates in all of those catagories but is just way to expensive.

So again... any thoughts on Black Magic?

Hello Tennis Maniac,

I have used Genesis Black Magic.
One of the best features is it's price(about $7.90) compared to its competition.
It's comparable to RPM blast IMO and has better tension maintenance but does not quite have the initial bite/grab on the ball like RPM (still has decent spin potential though). Everything is else about this string is solid. It's definitely worth it to buy a set and try it.

My 2 cents

It's a very good and soft co-poly. Good if you want power and feel.

It's worth a shot if you want a good playing soft round poly at a good price

I agree with others. It's springy as hell. Pockets the ball like crazy -- ball feels like its melting through the strings. But, I found the tension maintenance and length of playability to be very good as well.
