Genesis also appears to be selling full sets of the natural gut for $18. Tried to pick up a set but was sold out already. Wonder if anyone here managed to pick up a set? The only other gut I tried that cheap was NG Wholesale and that was a nightmare

In doing a search through the forums I found a few threads indicating that genesis has sold natural gut strings a long time ago. Here are some of those threads.

Well that was a waste of money. Broke the first set on the stringing machine and now I'm not sure I want to try the other 2 half sets. String looks and feels like that natural gut wholesale garbage
yeah i hated NGW’s low tier natural gut but their v5+ version looks coated and seems on par with premium gut...i purchased a pack but have yet to try it because it is too hot/humid outside so waiting for winter season to use indoors

I'm pretty happy with the NGW V5+. It's holding up well, I've had no problem stringing it, and two friends that I string for really like it in a hybred. I know the old stuff was crap, but the new stuff is pretty good, IMHO.

Got a set of the Genesis Hybrid, gut broke on the FIRST pull. 50 pounds with 10% prestretch, slow slow pull. Disappointed. Genesis rep said he'd try to give me a replacement though, but I have a hunch that won't be happening.

NGW has a special going on now with their hybrid for $16.99 plus shipping. I got another set and can't wait to use it.

I got a replacement set for free after posting about lack of quality on Instagram.
I'm surprised I didn't suffer a heart attack or brain aneurysm while stringing. The string was CREAKING during pulls, and the strands of natural gut were literally coming apart. I'm not sure how it withstood 52lbs. Constant pull, but it did.
I'll report back later on how it plays.

I have given up on testing different strings. Last 2 months I have been playing with one racket only that has Babolat VS Touch 16 and Prince Tour XP. It is amazing, the feel gets better as gut ages.
