You're going to want to buy more than one lens, my friend.

contacts are way better. don't have to worry about glasses slipping off your head, fogging up, being knocked off.

the big plus for contacts vs glasses, for me, is the fact that contacts give me 100% peripheral (spelling?) vision while with glasses i always had a sort of blind spot at the far left and right of the frames.

i have only had a contact fall out once in 6 years.

I'm having problem whenever I use contacts. There are times they get blurred as I blink receiving the serve.

What do you use guys, disposables?

glasses. less hassle, don't have to worry about them falling out.

contacts rarely fall out only if your eyes are reallly really really dry and they arn't a hassle at all either cause putting them in and taking them out take 5 seconds total. i don't see why your mom won't get them for you

Contacts won't work on my eyes for some reason  but glasses really hinder my sight when I'm playing so neither for me.

I won't even consider playing tennis with glasses. They fall down way too often. I also can't wear sunglasses with glasses. (Actually, I can since my glasses have a sunglass attachment, but it adds too much weight.) I have had a problem with contacts falling out twice while playing, so now I bring rewetting drops in my bag and use them before I play, especially if it's windy.

What kind of contacts do you wear?? I wear contacts for like 3 straight days with no problem. Eye doctors even say it's ok to wear them for a day or two as long as they're not dry and uncomfortable.

the sales person and the doctor said its no good to wear contacts longer than 8 hours...
:(
i dunno but always have both glasses and contacts = t3h w1n

Im having a little problem with contacts. Putting them on is not a problem but taking them out takes forever. For some reason they just don't want to come out.

How do you contact users take them out? With 1. 2. 3. instructions please

im nearly blind (no seriously, my doctor said im legally blind), so no glasses or contacts is not an option for me...

i sweat alot, and i always go to wipe my face. wearing glasses would just be a hassle, also with them moving around on your face.

although my contacts sometimes bother me, they work much better than glasses. my eye doctor also perscribed bigger ones that also allow them to breathe better. theyve never fallen out yet, and i rub my eyes alot.

Right middle finger on the lower lid. Left index finger on the upper lid. Using right index finger and thumb, start in the corners of the eye and pinch them together while putting pressure inwards on the eye. Sometimes it takes a couple tries, but still no big deal.

ya, eventutally youll be able to take them out with even holding your eye open... it just takes practice (like tennis ;) )

Some people (like me) wear only one contact lens. I have one eye that's 20/20 for distance viewing and one eye that had a vision development problem from childhood (amblyopia, resulting in a weakened left eye). Thus, for most of my adult life, I've had one eye that needed correction via glasses or a single contact lens. Not the everyday case, but certainly there are exceptions... ;)

I'd prefer wearing NO corrective lenses (neither glasses nor contact lenses), but if I don't I end up with basically monovision with my right eye doing most all of the work. Not an ideal situation for tennis, especially for picking up and following the flight of the ball.

But my vote goes to contacts (or a contact, as the case may be).

I always wear contacts when i play tennis or any sport...glasses are such a hassle since they slip around in tennis and when i play soccer and basketball...they always used to get knocked off. So now i wear contacts almost all the time...except on those lazy days where i decide to not go out and to stay home.

Why wont your mom let you get contacts? I use Acuvee Advance and they are awesome...most of the time i forget i am wearing them. There was one time i came back home really late and took a shower and went to sleep. Only to wake up the next morning to find out that my contacts were still in when i saw that my contacts case was empty:p

lol i sleep with them anyway sometimes. ive had them in for like a week straight at one point. ur eyes just get really dried in the morning, but a lot of blinking corrects that. it builds up alot of protein on the lens too, so u have to change them sooner

as for not being allowed to have contacts, u should just talk to your mom and explain to her y u want and need them (unless she doesnt want to pay for them, which may be a problem then... in that case u could offer to pay for part of them). there is absolutely nothing dangerous (i think) about contacts so, just tell her you would take care of them, and that u would of course love her for ever and ever and ever :)

Glasses. I tried contacts for a month and my eyelids will not open for anything. Took me 20 minutes in the morning just to get them in. I'm lucky my vision isn't TOO bad that I don't have to wear corrective lenses all the time or at all really. I just need them to barely pass my vision test on my license renewal.

Contacts. They are much easier on the court to play with. Though I have astigmatism so I can only wear hard (There abit of a pain in the ass too). There pretty easy to put in and to take out. The only thing is sometimes when I play and blink my vision is blury for a couple of seconds.
