Gosen Sidewinder

Just played with Gosen Sidewinder 16g. Amazing feel, so soft and powerful. It is really the fountain of youth for my game. Also tried the BHBR and BHB7. The Sidewinder has much better feel for both. Why is this string not more popular? Anyone else have any experience with it?

I used to use Tier one Firewire.

I used the 16g in my ESP 100T and was a great soft string, now I use 17g in my RF97A and are also great, a little muted, but great

i think its the price, 10$ and up is too much for a feel good poly like this
lots of options out there that provide just as good feel at arround 5$, even less on a reel
i do agree though, it did feel good, to me as well when i tried it
i tried the 17g at arround 60lbs on mains i think..
also liked the bright yellow color
but i did not notise any additonal increase in spin, infact when i applied tension to the string when stringing, it rounded itself, so whatever little edges it had when in the packege it lost while stringing

Everyone has their own preference when it comes to strings. I've tried the sidewinder at various tension and found that it was too soft and powerful, which takes away from the control that I need. The launch angle that I get was somewhat sporadic that I would like.

Vice versa from you, I use T1 Firewire Red and Black (tad softer than red)

oO,
Do you use the Firewire in your PDT? If so at what tension(s)?

Marquette, have you played with RPM before?

If so, how would you compare the two? Good grab?

for my use and those I string for, I string poly 5-10 #s lower than multi. It also depends on the type of multi as well as gauge.

what kind of multi are you using? racquet? Any arm concerns?

Yes 2 elbow operations playing with Quasi amour gut at 54 pounds and my arm feels great but it has to much power. Afraid of poly but need more control
