Head Prestige 2021

Prestige pro (291) is a 95 but stiffer than the IG Radical Pro, different weight/balance (layup)…

I know... Was just trying to point out which radical the other poster was referring to. I agree with you, and don't think they are alike (the Prestige Pro he is referring to and the IG Rad Pro). Very different in many ways you have outlined... including feel.

Why the h*ll have they skipped the big branding HEAD on side of the frame since G360? I really miss it…
Really have to say Head paint jobs are (still) the absolute worst out there.
When did they start with the unbalanced paint schemes? Must have been the original YouTek series, so roughly 12 years ago. And it's got worse, not better, with every tech generation.

The head youtek IG radical Pro was a super soft frame though and the ig prestige was a much firmer frame. I am always as many others are waiting for the Prestige MP to come in 16/19 as well as the 18/20 string pattern. I moved over to try the Prestige Pro (IG) and found it very different feel wise and all that I loved about the MP was no longer there. I know with the string pattern Head moved over for the radical MP which was an 18/20 to a 16/19 which was slightly closer than the older 16/19 drill pattern. Head size also has to be factored in with this but on a smaller head (say 95 or 97) as when moving to a bigger head like say the gravity Pro of 100 its not the same 18/20 as I'm rocking on my old IG prestige MP frames drill pattern wise.
I'm looking forward to trying the current 360+ version but we are heading into some bad weather now unfortunately. Its not looking great for tennis.

Funny you say this, I was just looking at eeebay and there is a 360+ Prestige MP mould on there in 16x19.

What I can't understand is why they always pick some weird font for the word PRESTIGE. The HEAD font looks awesome, just use that.

No, these are actual spy photos. I suspect they’ll get taken down shortly:)

The 4th picture literally shows “Graphene Touch”, and not to mention that the new Prestige has a large P on the side. The color of the new Prestige writing is orange too. This is Graphene Touch.

Anyone knows why they switched the "names"...
So that the lineup makes more sense to most prospective customers. The current "Tour" is now the MP since it's the lightest and most forgiving of the Prestige range (aside from the S); the current Pro is now "Tour" being heavier and with a smaller headsize; and the current MP is now the Pro, being the heaviest in the range and 18x20.

To have them in line with the "standards". Currently MP is the heaviest of the bunch, which is not the case with any other brand, for what I know. It actually makes a lot of sense, even though it can be a bit confusing for old Head users. But we'll get over it. :)

The list is incorrect though.
They switched the names to have all lines aligned: for example, Speed Pro, Gravity Pro, Prestige Pro are all 18x20, control oriented…
Does this mean the next gen Radical Pro will be a 18x20?

New prestige definitely has a stiffer feel. I threw some Alu Power 125 in there at 47 lbs and I could feel it a little bit there in the wrist in the third set today. With Hawk 17, it isnt as noticeable. Played great with alu power but the feel was a little too stiff. Still undefeated with the racquet. I'm going to try Hawk Touch 17 next weekend and make a decision about string.

Has anyone hit with a TGT 345.2, by chance? One persnickety nitpick I have with the 360+ MP is the launch angle. The only thing that’d pique my curiosity in the upcoming Pro will be if the launch angle is a bit higher.

The launch angle is definitely higher. I had a lot of problems with depth with the 360+ mp. The new one is easier to play with. The feel isn't quite as good but its a worthy trade off
