Hi all,
I have a question about the stiffness of Head pro stock racquet tgk238.2 (microgel prestige pro) and tgk238.5 (youtek prestige pro paintjob).
Which one is stiffer ?
If anyone has measure by Babolat RDC, please share the information if possible.
Hope to see your comment.
Thanks with regards.

Really ???
Why prostock tennis show different stiffness for both
57 for tgk238.2
63 for tgk238.5
That is why i post topic for collecting more info from other member.
Too good if anyone measure with Babolat RDC

Both, MG Prestige Pro and MP were softer than the Youtek counterparts.
however, I do not recall them being 57RA soft.
Would say 61 vs 64 type of range

I was also wondering about 57RA stiffness of prostock 238.2. I have 238.1 and it is around 62-36RA. Never played any YouTek prostock – just because I didn't like their retail editions.

It is also hard to judge if 238.2 is better from IG Prestige MP or 293.1 which I have. Sometimes I prefer more Dunlop-style Microgel direct feedback, sometimes I prefer a bit more plusher IG Prestige MP – especially 25th Anniversary black one.

The racket similar feel-wise to Microgel Prestige line was Tecnifibre 315 Ltd. from 2013. Both 18x20 and 16x19 feel more plush than 238.1. But also in Tec315 line The 16x19 version is the more flexible one. I thought that maybe due to higher launch angle – 16x19 string pattern works better with more flexible frames. What do you think?

HEAD TGk238.5 is the YT Prestige Pro
HEAD TGK238.2 is the MG Prestige Pro.
I preferred the MG Prestige Pro over the YT Prestige Pro. I found the MG Prestige Pro to be softer and more plush.

As I had only 293.1 which feels a bit like IG Prestige Pro – rather siff - is it possible 293.2 feels softer – or rather quite the same? I don't want to spend money to find out something some people here know already. THANKS

The most flexible graphite “ pro stock” head made ?
I think was the old graphite pro mold Ra-54 turned into a pj of the prestige green Capp model . I forgot what pro it used for ? Mayotte? Wheaton ?

PT57A but it has amazing power at the same time. I can’t explain how they did it.
Seems as if Wilson figures out how to make a soft frame with power too with the clash !
Could it be that instead of using fiberglass to soften up the layup they just used a looser matrix of graphite ?
Have no idea what I’m talking about really just made it up in my head . Seems legit tho . Seems like the more ply with the graphite sheets and the more layering would make it stiffer . But again I don’t know

There’s different stiffness of graphite.

The point about stiffness is that it could be different in many places over the racket. The biggest problem I guess it is to get flexible frame with good feedback. Some Prince frames with O ports were really flexible and powerful – but the feedback was awfull. You can't have control with such frame.

Some older Dunlop frames had both nice flex along feedback – but some people missed power (I really love Bio200 and some others). With 231 you have tons of power and flexible frame – but feedback isn't as good as from PT57A or let's say classic Prestige Mid frames.
I would even say that I prefer retail Liquidmetal Radical MP over 231 for feedback/touch.

Also with prostock frame – it is up to you how much weight you want. In my opinion PT57A plays better around Pro Tour 630 specs – which is a bit too much weight for me most recently. Once PT57A is getting less and less heavy – it is still stable, flexy and has great feedback, but
the power is gone. Then it is easier to pick up 231 – more power at similar weight.

It really depends on what you expect from the racket. I love feedback and flex of PT57A – but I simply play better with a bit stiffer hoop and lower weight. I like to play with iPrestige, Microgel/IG Prestiges or some old Dunlops (but they do need great footwork as all power comes from your mechanics!) – but the comfort and power is worse than PT57A.

I found two retail rackets to flex similar to PT57A – Wilson Blade 98 v7 and Yonex Ezone. While I couldn't play with Yonex – I am still trying to get into Blade 98v7 for its lower weight, bigger headsize (and sweetspot), nice stability, comfort and acceptable feedback.

I have all of retail and prostock frame in my bag
6 x dunlop bio 200 brand new
2 x dunlop bio300 prostock (crack)
2 x tgt291.2
2 x tgt293.2
6 x tgt 231.3
2 x tgk 231.3
1 x tgk238.4
2 x tgk238.5
2 x tgk260.3
8 x pt310 16x19
1 x pt57a2 16x19
4 x h22 16x19
I played some retail like ti radical mp or kblade before.
My problem with tgk238.2 and .5 is just to compare the really deep difference with 57a2 and tgk231
Than my opinion is retail version can not compare with prostock version
Tgt231 not feel flexy than tgk231 even the stiff nearly same.
I believe pt57 is the most flexy frame Head ever made. If lower weight pt57 will be not stable for big hitting and volley or enough power for baseline.
Pt310 is more suitable for daily playing with 4 match or more. Lower weight at 295g or more still be stable for hard shot. Feel solid, stable quite similar with H22. But Pt310 feel more flexy and more funny than H22.
Played 238.4 for some years ago. Just waiting for 238.2 for comparing with 57a2 in same string pattern 16x19.
From my friend review with pt113 16x19, pt310, h22, those are quite same feel stable and solid with h22. Pt113 is more flexy and easier to play than pt310 and h22 in same pattern 16x19.
As i played before with dunlop prostock in bio300 pj. It feel similar with pt310. The main feel is stable and solid.
If you find tgt293.2, i think no need. This is stiff frame. Not much different with retail one. Tgt291.2 is better.
I think that playing with Head prostock is more exciting than Wilson prostock.
It's just my opinion idea for reference. Can be agree or not must be belonging to each people feel.
Still looking for pt313 16x19 for testing, if anyone have please pm me. Need 2 frames at least and can trade.

The most advantage in Wilson H22 is foam fill.
Due to construction technology, the foam can make cancelling vibration.
Than i think the foam fill in h22 is making vibration cancelling. When racquet hit the ball. The ball make the force to string and frame. The foam inside frame will absorb the vibration.
It can reduce the vibration and force effect to the player's arm. It is really good if playing with heavy racquet for long time match.
My idea is only for reference and can be agree or not.

You carry 38 rackets in your bag? That must be some bag.

Can not keep all of racquets. Some of them are sold once have no more demand to play. Than i need to find new owner for those. Now just keep only racquets i need or rare 231, 57, 310.
If don't play than we need to sell. Maybe next gone is pt57 and h22.

Can you let us know what the retail edition of PT310 and PT313? Thanks.
Not make sure but as some review before pt113 is same mold with radical series until before microgel radical series
Pt313 should be straight beam with 95sqi, throat like graphene radical. Have no retail same frame mold.
You can ask more people cause i'm not make sure. Not have yet 113 and 313. Still looking for.

I recently picked up some Head tgk238.2s. Is it easy to find grommets and do other versions work?
TK238A (original with MG Prestige Pro, black, best fit), possible but not from the retailers.
TK293A (slightly softer, Graphene fit, black) same thing
TK260A (transparent color, IG Radical Pro) was available at TW but may not be any more.

HEAD TGk238.5 é o YT Prestige Pro
HEAD TGK238.2 é o MG Prestige Pro.

Eu preferia o MG Prestige Pro ao YT Prestige Pro. Achei o MG Prestige Pro mais macio e luxuoso.

Saberia citar um atleta que fez uso de umTGK238.2 ??
Obrigado pelo esclarecimento.
