How can F Lopez be a S&V player as he was born in ESP?

He is the most unique and handsome Spanish player I've ever seen. He plays old school tennis that often uses S&V, slice and chip and charge. He also have such a strong serve that I've never seen among Spanish. His style made me miss Llodra!!!

Username-to-thread congruity seems legit.

Good first poast.

I agree, Lopez is an aesthetic man with an aesthetic game. Judmoo tends to agree too.

Most talented player of all time to overcome his Spanish grinder roots and play the beautiful S&V game I think.

Not actually a part of this universe. Unsure as to why the world governments haven't figured this out yet and captured the rogue, handing him over to the scientists and physicists etc.

I would actually classify Lopez as all court as opposed to S&V. For me if you're a S&V player you come in on every serve or at least every first S&V.

Back on topic---------------

Lopez is following in the footsteps of other beautiful S&V players like John Newcombe and Patrick Rafter.

It's a shame that Spain don't produce other great talents like F.Lopez.

The second most talented player Spain has produced is only Murray who has the hands but not the mind to play the beautiful S&V

he's not really a S and V player, sure he likes to come to the net very often especially on grass, but a true S and V player comes to the net after his second serve, which Lopez doesnt really do.
Ivan Navarro from Spain was a pure S and V player but he never made it to the top 50.
Lopez's backhand slice is aesthetically the most pleasing stroke on the tour...for me anyway.
to each their own of course but i prefer Muller's backhand slice (and him is a real Serve and volley player by the way)

But are they as good looking? That is the important question.

Definitely underachieved.
On my short list for sure.

Lopez is ugly with his heavy brow and middle-split hair. His shots are lethargic and wimpy-looking. I don't get why people like the way he looks.

His serve is the best on tour in my opinion. Smooth, fast and accurate. His motion is so fluent that is the second best-looking serve in my mind!

Yes, very smooth serve. Undoubtedly one of the best servers under 1.90 (6'3"). Who do you think has the best-looking serve?

Some are incapable of perceiving dapper looks and pleasing strokes (no pun intended), much like some are color-blind.

It is ok.

Sounds almost like you're in love with him, which is kinda cute.
It is ok, too.

I totally dig Lopez' style of play. His service motion is so smooth. I also think he moves really well, and I find he hits the most delicious slices and droppers.

He looks classic handsome to me. My woman confirms this (she actually uses the four letter word starting with s and ending with y in her description)

I really love that kind of old school tennis. Stakhovsky and Llodra is also in my list!!!

Yeah, his serve reached 152mph! Almost the same speed as Roddick's serve and they are all 6'2.
Roddick's serve is fast but not good-looking like Lopez and Raonic's
