Moose,

Do you have stats that suggest the winners of other masters before the GS' have done better at those GS's?

Hamburg brings up the rear predicting RG success among the large-draw tournaments. Often cited is the
slow and damp Hamburg clay, compared with the relatively quicker clay found elsewhere. Only Kuerten has
pulled off the Hamburg/RG double, in 2000. Other doubles:

Monte Carlo/RG:
Bruguera 1993 / Muster 1995 / Moya 1998 / Kuerten 2001 / Ferrero 2003 / Nadal 2005, 2006

Barcelona/RG:
Gomez 1990 / Muster 1995 / Nadal 2005, 2006

Rome/RG:
Courier 1992 / Muster 1995 / Nadal 2005, 2006

Moose,

Thanks for the info, but what about Masters before other GS'? (Is Halle a masters, I pay little attention to it?).

Not to good. Other than a handful of players. The Hamburg champions haven't done so well at RG
