How High is my Ceiling? (Can I get to USTA - 6.0? LONG)

Chadalina apparently had a melt down. Lol. I saw an email notice of him assaulting my post because he is projecting. Lame.

Why do people always resort to name calling when they can't defend their positions?

He is just not serious at all. Still possible he might get a fluke and somehow pull a wild card, but he will never earn a point on winning matches. With that, I will say he has a better chance of getting an ATP point than he does making out of the qualies at a Futures. Like I said, though, he is not serious. When you start coping out of legite training...pffff. He was after Youtube subscribers.
You think? Might want to inform chadalin onassis about that fact. He or she is getting all hurt TP is leaving him.

Did I hurt your feelings? You have a safe space you can go into?

No, your just really annoying, you dont play tennis and bother those who do. Nothing you post in this section is positive.

Why did you go crazy and call me vile names? Projecting your own instability and doubt on others? People want to known.

Maybe you should apologize to me. I saw what you wrote.

Did you read what i wrote? Didnt call you any names, just made a reference to grown men (who dont play) that are into junior tennis
I read the beginning. I'm involved in junior tennis because my son plays. You called me a pedophile. If your kid does a sport does it make you one?

NOT COOL. If this was said, Chadalina, you need to walk it back and apologize. Period.

Maybe after some soul searching some will see the errors of their way. Like TP thinking YouTube subscribers equate to ATP points. Or Chadalacs misplaced anger.

New rules are in order to get ATP points, you have to get to at least semi of a 25K event...looks like TP is going nowhere with this.

Those who have taken him seriously and kept discussing/posting are at least as guilty as him.
I wanted to improve at tennis for all the wrong reasons, but along the way I've learned some important lessons that have helped me not just at tennis. I don't think anyone engaging TP thought there was any chance he'd get an ATP point, but it'd have been interesting to follow his journey.

I don't agree. It is his responsibility to his own claims. There are people who have went at certain pursuit with an eccentric attitude and succeeded. I know some would have felt they were being put on by his "Sun's out, guns out," line, but I have seen crazier things succeed. What the ones who succeeded didn't do is start talking about doing it with below minimal time and effort. That is where I checked out.

Don't waste your time. Just report the posts and ask for banning. Eventually these cowards get banned and then try to reappear under a different name, and the cycle continues. They are mentally sick people.

I just don't see how my questioning the veracity of anyone setting up a tournament that grants ATP points so their kid can get an atp point with a rigged draw warrants the crazy response Chadalin used. I'm just being facetious on here mostly and he went nuts.

I still don't believe anyone would rig a tournament like that. I think bribing is possible. But setup a whole tournament?

right now you are 3.5-4.0 or D3 level.
you need to take instruction to improve, or you will not exceed yourself.

simply compare your video to some of the pros, and you will see what i mean.

agree n dat's why a lot of ppl saying only reached 1/2 of the goals, so could be worse if less goals set or no goal at all.

i think the ceiling for most ppl will be the 'injury point' as u can always improve and maneuver if injury free.

just hope tp's ceiling won't b a painful 1 no matter how high or how low. tennis' dere for us to enjoy, not suffer:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:.....

He wanted to get an ATP ranking by not playing tennis. What work did he actually do? Did you even read what ne actually wrote here?

He didn't put in a lot of work, he played his dad and a 4.0 and stopped eating junk food. He has spent more time editing videos to post here than practicing his serve.

Well, if he is not here posting, then we wouldn't be able to see his "determination". We all "secretly" aspired to be more talkative like him to share our own journey. I wonder if he will be able to post more of his league matches, that would be more interesting.

thought pt's joking/pranking but now seems he's serious.......as instead of posting more, he's working hard to reach his goal then prove he's right n others'r wrong. the problem's that most likely he'll end up another te/ge-er due to the tension/pressure/etcetc.........

The ceiling for most people is where they are currently because most people aren't trying to improve.

Assuming they never got injured, they still wouldn't have an unlimited ceiling because "Time is the ultimate grinder".

Even if they have both, they might run into their own natural limitations. RogerRoger talked about it wrt his own son, who is a high level nationally ranked junior, and how he came to the realization talking to other coaches that it would be very difficult for him to make it as a pro.

Not disagreeing. But, while he might not make it as a pro, he could still improve relative to his current level.

As a counterpoint, in several interviews, even Federer mentioned that he was always looking for ways to improve. If someone of his caliber can take that attitude, surely us rec players could also.

I personally don't think I'll ever hit my ceiling: I don't mean that as a brag but as a recognition that I'm only putting in about 10% of the effort that I could in terms of improvement; I could be doing so much more.

Plus those 60's singles guys show that age doesn't need to be a factor:D
