How more durable are replacement grips than over grips?

I have been thinking, i have always used an overgrip and i was wondering if anyone uses their racquet with just the replacement grip. How much more durable is the replacement grip? Is there any advantage of using an overgrip? (besides increased grip size) I know replacement grips go for about $5 and a 3 overgrips go for about $3, is using an overgrip really worth it to save the replacement grip?

after about 6 sets my over grip is done ;most of the time i swap out at 4 but if i have low stock i can wait til 6.
Ive been using babolat's syntec grip for about a month. I'm about to replace it with heads hydrosorb, just to try out but I'm most likely sticking with replacement grips its just cheaper.

I use over grips for a better feel. I've used replacement grips before a lot and they seem to last longer than any other over grip but eventually it will wear out
