All I know is that Andy plays with a pretty high swingweight, so you might not want to do that. Just my 2 cents.

This may be a dumb question, but are you talking about making the Prestige MP hit like Andy Murray's Radical? Or does he use a Prestige painted up like a Radical?

He doesnt use either. He uses a PT57A, Head's own racquet for pros. Then he gets it made exactly to his specs.

The Prestige MP is a solid racquet and not light years away from the PT57A I think. I want to make it as close to Murray's specs as possible but dont know exactly how to do it.

This reminds me of when I tried to make my kblade 98 play like Del potro's racquet. It just isn't the most feasible thing in the world. I realized that its one thing to change the way a racquet feels, but it is another to try to replicate another completely different racquet.

Its not completely different though. VSBabolat said the Prestige Pro is one of the closes things to Andy Murrays racquet. So the Prestige MP cant be far off.

VsBabolat or anyone, please help me here?

I think that's regarding the feel. The flex difference between the two is still pretty big.

If the OP wants to try a pro racquet - maybe he can just buy a Pro Stock frame and use it. It would be easier than trying to match a frame to a particular player. He might contact Geoff here who does match frames to known ATP player specs. The OP may find out that he really doesn't want to use a pro setup. Going from retail to pro setups can be pretty difficult as there can be a huge swingweight adjustment to make and that can take some time for players not used to hitting with high swingweights. It can also result in injuries.

I too suggest that the OP try to find a used pt57a on the 'bay. there are no production frames that are close to the pt57a right now. and with the direction that Head is going (stiff frames), I doubt you'll see anything new in the future.

Im not going to that, but thanks. I just want my Head Youtek Prestige MP to be more suitable for a higher level player like 5.5+. I obviously need lead as swingweight (318) is far too low at the moment but the racquet is already 337gm strung so it is annoying as I cant get high swingweight without a ridiculously heavy racquet?

why not take a head heavy lightweight racquet.
I have a Ktour 95 i'm considering modding if i dont sell it soon.
Technical Specifications:

Length 27.25 inches 69 centimeters
Head Size 95 square inches 613 square centimeters
Weight 10.6 ounces 301 grams
Balance Point 13.825 inches
35 centimeters 1.5 pts Head Heavy
Construction 22 mm Straight Beam
Composition 100%[K]arophite Black
String Pattern 16 Mains / 20 Crosses
Flex Rating 64
Swing Weight 331

Its light and has a heavy Swingweight already. Alittle weight in the hoop, and alot of weight in the handle could get you were you want to be with a racquet like this.

The closest thing to a PT57A right now in retail is the Pro Kennex Redondo MP. One long-time PT57A player did a comprehensive comparison between the two frames here on TW within the last year.

BTW, the tgk238.4s (Pro Stock YTPMP) come with lighter hairpins so that they're easier to setup with higher swingweight with lower static weight compared to retail frames. Pro Stock versions make for better platforms for customization.

If handle is filled with something then remove "it" or drill out some weight from handle. Put leadtape all over from 9 to 3...

P.S. and dont listen to all those **censored*** who promote B.S. like "polarized stup" etc. !!!!!!! Why on earth would you put lead onto handle when all you want is ro raise wight in head area!!!

I want my YTPMP to be altered to what would be more in range of what pros with this racquet would use or what the pros use in terms of specs.

What would you do to my racquet?

not sure about your racquet but it should have exact shape as my Rebel 95 and I have both Rebel 95 and "team" version - both are same but team has only 285g unstrung (most probably has no added weight in hande)...

So either drill out material from inside handle (if it is filled with PU) or remove some weight that is added into handle - you remove static weight and change balance to head heavy. Just dont drill through graphite composite...

If you want the highest SW change for least extra weight then it's got to be in the upper hoop that you lead up. The difference in frame is too big to make It like Murrays actual frame though.

So I have come to the conclusion that I just lead around the hoop from 10 through 12 and around to 2.

This will give me a swingweight in the 350s and a static weight of 353 and a 33cm balance point similar to his heavy spec here in 2011.

I think thats my only option. It is not specifically Murray I want to copy it is just an example.

I want to lead up my racquet to get higher swingweight as I need to hit harder and I have the level to handle "pro like" racquets (heavy with high swingweight).
