How would you describe Solinco Confidential?

Bought a second-handed racquet with Confidential that has been strung for 4 months, though the string does not seem heavily used. Hit once for one hour with an opponent who returned very weak balls, so I can't really test how Confidential is like. I have no plan to switch to this string. Just taking the opportunity to test it when a string new to me is present. The racquet model is also new to me so comparison is hard to make. What kind of string is Confidential to you? eg stiff, spinny, control, power, tension maintenance?

I haven't tried many strings. Pro's Pro Blackout and Solinco Hyper-G are muted to me. Babolat RPM Blast and MSV Focus Hex are not muted. Do you agree that Confidential is not muted either?

Confidential is not as stiff/crisp as Tour Bite and not as muted at Hyper-G. Sort of right in the middle. It's definitely a control oriented string with a bit less power than Hyper-G. Confidential is my string of choice for the last year or so.

More consistent version of Hyper G, a tad firmer. Very good spin, without the sometimes erratic launch of Hyper G,

I played hyper for a year before getting a demo of confidential.

I quickly sold my remaining hyper stock

IME, confidential is a more consistent string and has fantastic tension maintenance.

i hated confidential…arm was crying after just a few hits. It has slight crisp nature of tour bite and low poweredness of rpm blast. It is definitely a control oriented string meant to tame the power of big hitters and/or power racquets

Personally I believe it's a more explosive and ball pocketing ver. of ALU. I was surprised once the strings got to break in. I could say that it's better than ALU overall. I don't have it anymore since I have 6 different reels of OEHMS poly to get rid of, but when I get the chance I'd most likely get a 1.25mm reel.

decent string. good tension maintenance. i thought it was very comfortable. just a little too mute-y for my liking. I like tour bite more. I prefer the lively feel. Confidential didnt feel nearly as spinny as tour bite. or hyper g.

Low powered but firm controllable response. I've used the 16 and the 18 gsuge

16 felt better to me oddly . Strung at 52 pounds on a ps 16 x 19

Also used as a hybrid at 54 pounds with gamma tnt2

Definitely feels less muted than hyper g. Not saying it felt muted per se , but IMO hyper g definitely felt MORE muted if we are comparing the two
