If 2016 Olympics gave 750 points Nadal's top season would be 4th best in this era

If 2016 Olympics gave 750 points like they did in 2008 and 2012, Murray's best season would be worth more ATP points than Nadal's best season, making him the #4 of this era for ATP points in his best season:

2015 Djokovic - 16,585
2006 Federer - 15,695
2016 Murray - 13,160
2013 Nadal - 13,030

Not to mention that Djokovic's and Federer's second best seasons are better than Nadal's best season too:

2011 Djokovic - 13,630
2007 Federer - 13,330
2013 Nadal - 13,030

In terms of ATP ranking, yes.

My mate best means best all things considered.
Should we make threads about best in terms of ATP 250s now?
If you wish to talk about the ranking points do it by all means but don't clickbait people into 4th best season in the Open Era coz it wasn't.

No clickbait, I didn't write that Murray's season was better than Nadal's, I specifically wrote in the title "If 2016 Olympics gave 750 points".

How? Nadal didn't even compete at the AO in 2013 and you still want to compare his season with the others who played all the tournaments.
So using reductio ad absurdum, if a guy plays only Wimbledon and wins it, his season will rank higher than someone who wins every single feasible tournament except Wimbledon? That's possibly the most butt clenchingly incompressible arse candle I've ever taken a moment to consider.

not only that....but nadal would not have accused another player for taking a shower between sets!

That conversion sucks.

However Nadal's top ATP points record is higher than Murray's. But not in a season if Olympics gave 750 points, which is the point of this thread.

Yeah, I've not had a time to do it myself, I just used the UTS conversion. But it clearly shows that Murray never really came close to Nadal's best period, which was 2008-9, in which he won 3 slams and 5 masters in 52 weeks. Murray's 2016 was of course impressive too, even if it destroyed his body to achieve it

Murray really shouldn’t be in this convo. Fedalovic have all won Murray’s entire slam count in one season...

Djokovic more than a 1,000 ranking points clear of his 2 closest rivals! No prizes for guessing who has had the most accomplished season!!
