Djokovic draw is tough in the SF.

Medvedev will likely lose R4. He was cramping and totally looked Gassed. He will either not make it to QF or give up/retire in that match.
Stan is 3 years post his prime. Both won't give much resistance and I am not expecting Novak to even lose a set to either of them. I get it, it makes great press to overrate Wawrinka, but that guy has been AWFUL for the past couple of years at any level. He was pathetic against lorenzi and his serve sucked. Novak will obliterate him.

The toughest opponent for Novak will be the great Swiss -Federer. I'm expecting that to go to 5 sets. A 4 to 5 hour epic. There will be revenge on Feds eyes and he will give it everything. Novak better be prepared.

If Novak beats Fed, no one can stop him from winning the tournament. He will likely steamroll whoever it is in the final.

For me, Nadal is already better than Federer as with same competition Nadal was much better than Federer. After his head start, Federer played the same field as Djokovic and Nadal and they can be directly compered. During their mutual period Federer is third and he is for me third. A significant portion of Federer success happened in the absence of Djokovic and Nadal and this is of secondary significance due to vast difference in quality of opposition. For me, that would be like puling together NCAA and NBA statistics to discuss players. If Federer was better than Djokovic and Nadal during their mutual period I would be happy to consider him the best.

Fed is the goat and that won’t change
Prime Fed was the best ever from 2003/2010

The secret reason why they are more hostile to Djokovic is the following: the Serbian represents a bigger threat to the Slam record than Nadal, as he is more favorite than Nadal in 3 of the 4 Slams. Even Federer is more favorite than Nadal in one Slam (Wimbledon), while Djokovic is more favorite than Federer for any Slam. The aforementioned reason, I believe, explains the hostility toward Djokovic.
I have to agree. Now, I do not speak for all Fed fans (many actually will disagree), but I dont really care who is this mythical "GOAT," but like you said, I do care about the slam count. While I would be bummed if Rafa got 20 and then surpassed it, I would be okay with it eventually as I like Rafa too.

However, if Djoker gets 20 or more, it will be extremely painful for many reasons, and I think he has the best opportunity to get the most, but Rafa winning here would almost assure he get 20 and probably more. So I think plenty of Fed fans would rather "roll the dice" with Djoker winning this one as he will still have to win 4 more to pass Fed.

Some Fed fans just dislike Djoker much more, so they root against him more, but if you ask most, I bet they would say they would rather Djoker win USO then Rafa.

I mean lets be honest, one of them is highly likely to pass Fed, and the other is likely. The USO will help determine that, and I would rather it be Rafa, but Rafa winning this would make the reality of the slam count more painful for MOST Fed fans.
