Watching the tennis on TV at the Laver Cup, New York, and Rotterdam has all the appeal of viewing a Soviet-era prison.
I'd like to enjoy the tennis, but I just can't watch these matches. The ambiance is so depressing, I quickly turn the channel.
A rare breed today. It used to be green with a blue background. Then it went to blue with a gray background for a while. I'm glad it's back to green these days, even if the gray border is a little drab.
Yellow courts would be nice.

Exactly. It would be hard to see the ball though.
Here's something to cheer you up
I think this is the real reason. i was talking to a main draw player on his way into to NY last week.It wouldn't be so bad if the outside court area wasn't grey as well. New York 250 is also depressing because of abysmally small crowd attendance.
I wish they'd bring back the blue clay from Madrid.Charleston clay is also horrid

Sounds cool in theory, but TV viewing would be hell if the ball blends in.Yellow courts would be nice.
Best tournament court in the world. TV camera angle is also the best.Nothing compares to the AO blue. It's like an anti-depressant during the cold winter nights.

There used to be red and orange tennis balls back in the day. Eventually, they settled on yellow.
Maybe they could use the pink breast cancer ones.

Monstrously large, modern, with flashy lighting and an energetic atmosphere. Quintessentially American. This one is the most futuristic, large and magnificient to me:

This one [Ashe] is... magnificient [sic] to me:
I remember back in 08 I found it overwhelming and didn't like the change. But it's really grown on me over time.Nothing compares to the AO blue. It's like an anti-depressant during the cold winter nights.
I call them LSD courtsWhat an eyesore

Lol i like itThis one is my favourite. Nice and bright, different.
I don't mind it. Seemingly every other hard court these days is blue and I'm kind of tired of that.
I do wish there were more purples or dark greens.
Very soon America will be building those gulags...
